QUEST FOR SUPPORT DURING THE TYPHOID CONJUGATE/ INACTIVATED
POLIO/ HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS VACCINATION (TCV/IPV/HPV) CAMPAIGN: 24

MAY-04 JUNE 2021

Ministry of Health and Child Care is introducing Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) into the routine immunization schedule through a national catch-up TCV vaccination campaign. The catch-up campaign is targeting children aged 9 months to under 15 years from 24 May to 04 June 2021.

After this campaign TCV will then be given routinely to all children at 9 months of age to protect them from Typhoid.

The campaign will be integrated with Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) catch-up for a targeted cohort of children and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination for girls 10-13 years in and out of school.

In addition children aged 6 to 59 months will receive Vitamin A supplementation during the same period.

The department is requesting for vehicles (for 11 outreach teams) from your organization to assist in creating community awareness through loud hailing and ferrying of teams to and from outreach points (from 0830hrs to 1630hrs) during the vaccination period.
