A dramatic incident unfolded at a Bulawayo nightclub when Mellisa Ncube, a 27-year-old nurse, was brutally beaten by Angel Mpofu, 30, after allegedly getting cozy with Mpofu’s lover, Allan.

The evening started with Ncube enjoying drinks with friends, but took a dark turn when Mpofu spotted her chatting with Allan.

Overcome with anger, Mpofu allegedly slapped Ncube multiple times and kicked her, leaving her unconscious on the floor.

Patrons intervened to restrain Mpofu, while nightclub bouncers stepped in to separate the two women and lock Mpofu in a room. Ncube was left with severe injuries, including a swollen face and bleeding wounds.

The incident was reported to the police, leading to Mpofu’s arrest.

She appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Challenge Mahembe and was granted bail until September 30.
