Benin coach Gernot Rohr has outlined his objectives ahead of their upcoming match against Zimbabwe in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Group C fixture.
The Warriors will face the West Africans at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Thursday, with kick-off scheduled for 6 pm CAT.
In his pre-match comments, Rohr expressed his desire for his team to continue their strong performance in the campaign as they take on Zimbabwe.
With seven points from four matches, Benin are currently level on points with Group C leaders Rwanda.
“It’s quite surprising that we (Benin), Rwanda, and South Africa are the leaders after the first four rounds in this competitive Group C,” Rohr told Nation Sports.
“We won our last two matches in Abidjan, and now we’re heading into an away match against Zimbabwe in Durban, followed by another away game against South Africa in Abidjan.
