A Gwanda man has committed suicide after catching his wife and young brother making love in his own bed.


The man originally from Binga whose identity could not immediately be released, is said to have left home for job hunting when he decided to come back home earlier than expected only to find his wife and brother passionately pleasuring themselves in a mid afternoon frenzy.
The young brother managed to pick up a pair of his trousers and jumped out of the room through a window making good his escape, ZimEye was told.
In fury the man picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed his wife once on the left breast before rushing out to a nearby bush where he hanged himself with a piece of rope.
His dead body was discovered less than half an hour after the incident when neighbours went out on after him after hearing the stabbed wife screaming for help.
Neighbours at the area at the time claim that the young brother was seen running off wearing only a pair of trousers before a loud scream was heard from the house.
On arrival at the house they found the naked injured woman lying on the floor with a man’s shirt and shoes on the floor and an open packet of condoms on the bed.
The neighbours initially thought that the young brother raped the woman, stabbed her and escaped. But they were shocked when the woman volunteered information that her husband had found them making love resulting in him stabbing her with a kitchen knife and also fleeing from the scene.
The woman was still recovering at Gwanda Hospital at the time of going to press and reported to be out of danger.
