By Dorrothy Moyo| The MDC-T party’s Vice President Thokozani Khupe is set to be dismissed from the party today.

This comes after it was declared that she has by default practically expelled herself.

The party’s Standing Committee is set to meet today, Friday.

Committee member, Chalton Hwende said, “By going against the decision of the MDC National Council Thokozani Khupe has now effectively expelled herself from the MDC-T. She stopped attending MDC activities and meetings last year and only surfaced this year at the funeral of our President and the Capetown meeting that was called to form an alliance that will rival the MDC Alliance.

“She blocked the President’s number last September when President Morgan Tsvangirai sought her audience to solve her concerns with the MDC Alliance.

“We have a National Standing Committee tomorrow morning that was called by the Acting President Nelson Chamisa and All our 210 District Chairmen and women will be attending a consultative meeting called for by Acting President Nelson Chamisa around midday. Later on the Harare Provincial Council will meet around 5 in the evening.”
