By Own Correspondent| Vice President, Constantino Chiwenga has told party supporters to dump the “Bhora Musango” mantra since this action had no place within the revolutionary party as the country heads for the watershed polls.

Chiwenga urged Zanu-PF members to unite and set aside their differences the majority of which emanated from the party’s just-ended primary elections.

Addressing a healing and reconciliation workshop for the ruling party’s winning and losing candidates in Harare today (Tuesday), Vice President Chiwenga urged Zanu Pf cadres to focus on winning the forthcoming elections.

“Bhora musango mantra has no place in the revolutionary party.

Petty differences should not distract the party from winning the coming harmonised elections,” said Chiwenga.

“Bhora musango” was popularised in the 2008 harmonised elections when Zanu PF supporters voted for their preferred candidate in the council and parliamentary election but voted for an opposition presidential candidate.

“Bhora musango” saw former President Robert Mugabe suffer a humiliating defeat at the hand of the late opposition leader, Morgan Tsvangirai in a development which later culminated into a government of national unity.
