Unconfirmed reports indicate that a Masvingo woman has committed suicide following the death of her three- month-old baby in the widely condemned regalia stampede at Present Emmerson Mnangagwa’ s rally at Mucheke Stadium B Arena last Friday.

Ruling party sources yesterday claimed the woman whose child was crushed to death in the stampede for regalia, took her own life because of serious differences with her husband over the matter.

“The woman whose child was crushed to death in last Friday’ s stampede also committed suicide,” claimed ruling party insiders.

Police sources last Friday confirmed the death of the three- month- old baby.

“We have not received a report of the said suicide matter.If we get anything we will advise you,” police sources said.
