By Own Correspondent| At least eight people including Vice President Kembo Mohadi and Zanu-PF national chairman Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri were injured in an explosion at White City Sports Stadium where President Emmerson Mnangagwa was addressing a rally this afternoon.

The explosion which occurred as President Mnangagwa was leaving the stage reportedly injured several people who were reportedly ferried to an unidentified local hospital in the capital.

In his response to the incident, President Mnangagwa called for peace adding that such attempts on his life were “cowardly and deserved peaceful responses.

“The best response to violence is peace.The best response to hate is love,” said President Mnangagwa while wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
