By Jane Mlambo| Owner of the Newsday, The Standard and The Zimbabwe Independent, Trevor Ncube who a few months ago was singing praise of President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been rewarded with an online radio and television license.Ncube who a few years ago saw his application for a radio license thrown away could have learnt one or two things from that incident as he has consistently praised Zimbabwe’s new leader. On countless occasions Ncube has took to Twitter to express his support for Mnangagwa while attacking opposition MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa as childish and not suitable for the country’s number one job.Through his company, Heart & Soul Broadcasting Services, Trevor Ncube can now provide video on demand (VOD) and Webcasting Services, as he moves to tap into the growing digital platforms and internet population.Heart & Soul Broadcasting Services chief executive officer and AMH chief operating officer Kangai Maukazuva told Newsday that they are very excited to expand into digital broadcasting.“Broadcast journalism has moved and content consumption patterns have also shifted. The phenomena present to us a huge opportunity to expedite our vision of a digital first business in a market that is fast becoming a digital society,” Maukazuva said.
