“Zim Parliamentarians Underpaid”: Temba Mliswa

By Own Correspondent| Independent legislator for Norton, Temba Mliswa has said while the move by government to suspend the purchase of vehicles for parliamentarians and ministers, Zimbabwean parliamentarians were underpaid unlike their counterparts in the region.

Mliswa’s statement comes amid revelations by government that the purchase of vehicles for parliamentarians and ministers had been suspended with the funds being directed towards fighting the cholera outbreak.

Since September 6 2018, when the first cholera case was confirmed, the Ministry of Health and Child Care reports that 32 people have died while over 7 000 suspected cholera cases have been recorded.
