By Own Correspondent| Zanu Pf Youth League boss Pupurai Togarepi (54) escaped with some injuries on Thursday after a vehicle he was travelling in hit a cow and veered off the road.

Togarepi, who together with his driver was rushed to Gweru provincial hospital where he was treated for pain in the neck and legs.

However, his driver was hospitalised at Gweru Provincial Hospital with serious injuries following the accident.

Unconfirmed reports alleged that the accident occured near Lalapansi, about 46km from Gweru on the Mvuma road.

Togarepi was reportedly on his way to the 57th Zanu Pf Annual People’ s Conference currently underway in Esigodini Bulawayo when the vehicle he was travelling in hit a cow and lost control before ramming into a tree.
