Terrence Mawawa|Controversial MDC deputy president Obert Gutu has hailed Emmerson Mnangagwa for rejecting a proposed Government of National Unity(GNU) deal with MDC A leader Nelson Chamisa.

“The next harmonised elections in Zimbabwe will be held in 2023. Those who were dreaming and/or fantasizing about a GNU or a creature called a ‘Transitional Authority’ should now wake up from their nightmare! It was just a horrible !” Gutu tweeted.

” I’m pleased to note that HE President Emmerson Mnangagwa @edmnangagwa clarified and confirmed that there will be NO
GNU in Zimbabwe because Zanu PF won the electoral mandate to govern the country. As I stated in my tweet a few days ago, that’s the very essence of democracy.”
