By Own Correspondent| Opposition MDC has called on citizens to demonstrate peacefully revealing that the party is in solidarity with peaceful citizen action nationally.

Said MDC National Spokesperson Jacob Mafume:

The MDC is in solidarity with peaceful citizen action across the country today.

We urge citizens to remain peaceful and exercise restraint even when provoked by undemocratic forces and repressive apparatus.

We have noted violent attacks by Zanu PF, these must be isolated from the people’s struggle.

Citizens’ demands are clear- this is a demonstration against bad decisions and an attempt to worsen the plight of the people.

In short, this is a struggle to live well, live long and live happy.

We urge citizens to convince those who may not be participating through superior logic,no force must be used in other words, their rights must be respected.

We also urge law enforcement not to provoke people exercising their Constitutional rights.

They are not a danger to national security but just citizens raising genuine concerns.

The MDC and it’s entire leadership is in solidarity with the masses and hope a lasting solution to the crisis.

Behold the New. Change that Delivers!
