Farai Dziva| Warriors experienced coach Sunday Chidzambwa has said captain Knowledge Musona inspired Zimbabwe to victory against Congo Brazzaville yesterday.

Chidzambwa said the 28-year-old played a key role in the 2-0 victory despite missing the bigger part of the preparations due to a groin injury.

The Belgium-based forward needed to pass a late fitness test on Saturday and went on to score a superb volley which took his tally in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers to five goals.

” I’m happy with the medical team because they did very well to manage him from the word go. As you saw he scored a great goal from nothing.

“As coaches we thought we could not leave such a great player on the bench,” Chidzambwa said.

Khama Billiat scored the other goal as Zimbabwe booked their place at the Afcon 2019 set for Egypt in June after finishing on top of Group G with eleven points.
