By A Correspondent- A man from Douglasdale in Bulawayo has appeared in court for kidnapping, detaining and assaulting a fellow resident at knife point.

Nqobizitha Moyo (29) pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and assault when he appeared before  Bulawayo regional magistrate Mafios Moyo.

He is alleged to have kidnapped  Rangarirai Chinyota Nyoni (35) from his home, detained and assaulted him.

It is alleged that on September 10, 2019, Moyo kidnapped Nyoni from his home  and took him to his home where he detained and assaulted him.

Nyoni was only released after he promised to give Moyo money.

Nyoni reported to the police leading to Moyo’s arrest.
