The court hearing journalist Hopewell Chinono’s bail application barred members of the public and media from attending court session claiming that evidence will jeopardise prison security.

Chin’ono’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa had submitted that the hearing be held in an open court but the court ruled that it be held in camera.

Chinono is charged with inciting public violence for supporting anti-government demonstrations that were planned for July 31.
