MDC ALLIANCE NAMIBIA DISTRICT CALLS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY ON THE LAND REFORM DOCUMENT RECENTLY RELEASED BY POLITICALLY BANKRUPT ZANUPF.
Mdc Alliance Namibia district resonates with the position posited by its National Spokesperson Advocate Fadzai Mahere.
We are solidly challenging the uncostitutionality of the private deal between corrupt Zanupf and their surrogates in the agricultural sector where they are planning to gobble more than 3 billion US dollars as compensation to displaced White Farmers during the so-called ” Third Chimurenga”.
As a district, we are absolutely concurring with the party position with regards to the intended reversal of the purported Land reform program pioneered by Zanupf under the late despotic and autocratic Robert Mugabe.
As a People’s party, we really need to clearly postulate that the genesis of the struggle for socio-economic transformation emanated from the plight of the workers and peasants not forgetting students.
This elucidates the dire need for the Land Reform Document to consider the desperate 4 million workers who were tilling the land as Farm employees.
It is against this pricking background that we ardently demand the compensation of the workers who were murdered, tortured, maimed and lost their jobs during the bloody land reform program in the early 2000s.
It becomes imperative for Zanupf morons to consider compensating these victims of a torturous process which was meant to empower the citizenry with the much needed land.
Moreover, Mdc Alliance Namibia is of the view that the Land reform document is a toxic policy since at law it must be anchored by an Act of Parliament.
We are convinced that it is a misplaced policy meant to hoodwink the international political players to enhance Zanupf’s re-engagement with the family of nations. This is apparent because it does not address the inequalities and injustices arising out of it. Their ill-informed trajectory on the land question will obviously degenerate into social upheavals and and political instability in the country. Zanupf Satanists should rationalise and develop an equitable land policy than to recklessly press the restore button at the centre of pre and post independence instability.
Furthermore, desperate Zanupf must acknowledge that this new policy of theirs is effectively a reversal of the land reform program.
Out of their insatiable appetite to rejoin the international arena, they are trying invain to give it pseudo names but conscious social democrats are on guard in as far as the maintainance of constitutionalism and the rule of law is concerned. While the process was problematic as it was punctuated by unprecedented violence and pandemonium, there are thousands that were resettled and have resided on the land for 20 years.
There is still no transparency and accountability around the land audit in respect to: Who owns what? We condemn in strong terms the privatisation of land and other resources in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe is not a private property of Zanupf! The stinking issue of multiple farm owners must be dealt with bearing in mind that we are all entitled to that land as bonafide Zimbabweans.
In a nutshell, Mdc Alliance Namibia would not want to pent-up its wrath to Patrick Chinamasa who supposedly attempted to silence the Mdc Alliance from commenting on the haphazard land question. As a people , we are perplexed by the revolutionary party that purportedly presented itself over decades as committed to radically reversing the legacy of the 1931 Land Apportionment Act since they finally displayed its satanic colours of hate , lack of constitutionalism and greedy.
Zanupf is a party of continuity than socio-economic transformation.
