The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) on Saturday reviewed upwards to $97,93c the price of petrol per litre and $86,36 for diesel, while US dollar maximum prices have been reduced to US1,18 for petrol and US$1,04 for diesel.
Before the price adjustment, petrol cost $93.15 per litre +and $83.36 for diesel.
Foreign currency prices were pegged at US$1.09 for diesel and $1.28 per litre of petrol.
“Operators may however, sell at prices below the cap depending on their trading advantages,” said Zera in a statement.
Fuel is one of the country’s top imports and its availability has in the past five years been erratic owing to foreign currency shortages that the economy continues to grapple with.
