The insatiable appetite to bring Mdc Alliance to extinction hit a brick wall in Gwanda when the judicially-constructed Mdc-T suffered another heavy blow at the hands of our resolute Mdc Alliance Councillor, Njabulo Siziba who won the Mayoral position recently. We are quite conscious to the support that Zanupf is currently giving to Khupe and her cabal aimed to dismember our party by sponsoring internal divisions.

Despite the illegal Zanupf induced recalls by a despot in the making , Douglas Togarasei Mwonzora, Mdc Alliance Mayoral candidate snatched the mayorship of Gwanda. We salute our remaining loyal and resilient councillors who strongly defied Mdc-T directive to vote the Zanupf-backed mayoral candidate. As Mdc Alliance Namibia, we are resolutely behind our objective councillors who exhibited lack of greedy and phobia to be fired from the council. It is now apparent that the Mdc Alliance leaders are not in politics for money in antithesis with their erstwhile comrades who subscribe to politics of plunder and self-aggrandisement.

Moreover, the district would like to laud its councillors in Gwanda for vanguishing state-sponsored Mwonzora and cronies. Securing the Mayorship against all odds is a profound demonstration of the political prowess and popularity in the political dynamo, Mdc Alliance fronted by President Advocate Nelson Chamisa.

As we celebrate this gigantic victory, it is imperative to acknowledge the perfect work done by our organic and pragmatic Provincial leadership and our vibrant National Local Government Secretary Hon Zvidzai.

Furthermore, Mdc Alliance Namibia district is also cognisant of the fact that Mdc-T led by Khupe has been winning Zanupf-anchored court cases but dismally losing democratic elections such as the Harare Mayoral elections won by advocate Jacob Mafume of Mdc Alliance. Our support to the national democratic revolution shall perpetually multiply since we are dedicated to exploit all our organs to defend the people’s project. This Zanupf plan to block our President from participating in 2023 presidential elections will never suffice.

In a nutshell, Mdc Alliance Namibia jubilates when the struggle for socio-economic transformation triumphs. We shall remain absolutely dedicated and committed to the change that delivers engineered by none other than the political mountain, President Advocate Nelson Chamisa who amassed a record of 2.6 million votes in 2018.
