Prominent Arts Promoter Succumbs To COVID-19

PROMINENT businessman and arts promoter Kudzanai Kangara was buried in Bindura on Monday. He died on Sunday after showing signs of Covid-19.

Kangara was 46 years old. His son Darlington could not shed more light since he was busy with funeral arrangements.

“It’s hard to swallow, I have no much time on the phone.

“I can confirm Mudhara will be laid to rest in Bindura on Monday (yesterday).

“Yes, it’s true he had Covid-19 symptoms. He had shortness of breath,” he said.

According to a reliable source, Kangara (late) was rushed to a private hospital in Chitungwiza after showing signs of deterioration.

“On Thursday, Boss Kangara was rushed to the hospital in Chitungwiza in an ambulance. “From that time he kept on deteriorating and he took his last breath on Sunday morning,” said the source. Kangara was not only a businessman in Bindura, but a father figure to the community.

Orphans, widows and other less privileged people benefited from him. An employee of Kangara Gold Buyers said his death was a loss to the family, community, Bindura and Zimbabwe.

“We have lost a caring boss and a father figure. He was not difficult to approach and he could listen to us anytime.

“He had an open door policy where every worker was able to approach and associate with him. “Takarasikirwa zvikuru and the gap will be difficult to fill. “We are still in shock, the year started on a bad note.”
