By A Correspondent| Controversial Norton legislator Temba Mliswa has slammed Zanu PF’s move to capture popular musician and dancer Sandra Ndebele saying its pitiful and a show of low regard for Zimbabweans electoral mentality.
Posting on Twitter this morning, the motor-mouth legislator said the move is yet another dry cut and paste job by Zanu PF.
“Another dry, cut& paste job as @ZANUPF_Official has appointed Sandra Ndebele as their Bulawayo representative for Young Women in Economic Development. However, the abiding idea behind the move makes the whole thing pitiful. It’s a clear scramble for popularity& youth support,
“The move exhibits a low regard for the Zimbabwean electorate’s mentality. People can now see beyond these platitudinous actions which seek to harness and transfer popularity from a different sphere into the party’s community of politics,” said Mliswa.
He added that the strategy of using celebrities had lost steam with people now clearly knowing what they want which is answers to their everyday challenges.
“Beyond the few who are swayed by such dramas, people simply need answers to challenges in their lives. I was in Zambia two weeks before elections& the atmosphere on the ground was strange. They were very few posters of the then opposition @UPNDYouthLeague candidate, Hichilema,” added Mliswa.
