Munetsi Happy With Nees Tactics

Warriors stand-in captain Marshall Munetsi has issued his first assessment of new head coach Michael Nees.

The German gaffer was appointed to the national team top job last month on a two-year contract.

His first assignment will be in the 2025 Afcon Qualifiers Group J games against Kenya and Cameroon this week.

Speaking during the Warriors’ first training camp under Nees in Kampala, Uganda, Munetsi said the team is getting used to the new head coach’s system.

“We are trying to listen to our coach as he is a new manager coming in, and we are trying to learn more from him as much as possible,” the Stade de Reims midfielder said.

“We are also starting to see his ideas because we talked (over the phone) before we came into the camp, so we pretty much know what to expect from him.

“I think the guys are starting to gear up because we have been playing together for a couple of games now.

“It’s a new system but everything in football depends on the results.”

Mnangagwa’s Soldier Son Dragged Into Multi-Million-Dollar Extortion Scandal

By Crime and Courts Reporter- Mnangagwa
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s son, Major Sean Mnangagwa of the Zimbabwe National Army, has been named in a shocking series of mining extortion cases that have rocked the Matabeleland region.

A five-men gang of armed extortionists, who allegedly posed as military intelligence and police officers, has implicated Major Sean in a sprawling scheme targeting mining companies.

The suspects, Munyaradzi Charakupa, Victor Jaja, and Tawanda Mangi, appeared before Bulawayo Magistrate Evelyn Madzikatire on Tuesday, facing charges of impersonating public officials, attempted extortion, and extortion.

The gang allegedly extorted money from mining companies by falsely claiming to have ties to Sean Mnangagwa, who they said was their boss.

They demanded exorbitant sums, including a $300,000 “protection fee,” threatening to cancel mining applications unless their demands were met.

The scheme unraveled when prominent Bulawayo lawyer Dumisani Dube, who the gang had repeatedly targeted, sought help from Sean Mnangagwa and the Attorney-General’s Office.

In his statement, Dube revealed that Sean disowned the gang and advised him to report the matter to the police.

Despite this, the gang continued their extortion attempts, escalating to threats of violence and extorting a total of $55,300 from Dube.

The court heard how the gang went to great lengths, including falsely identifying themselves as part of Sean’s security team and using official-looking documentation to back their claims.

The suspects were finally apprehended after Dube reported the extortion to the authorities.

The case has sent shockwaves through the country, raising serious questions about the involvement of high-ranking officials in criminal activities.

The suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues, with the court yet to decide on their bail application.

Mnangagwa Softens Heart On Chiwenga

By Political Reporter-President Emmerson Mnangagwa is paving the way for his deputy, Constantino Chiwenga, to assume power, signalling a possible shift in Zanu Pf succession battles.

Mnangagwa’s recent actions suggest a softening stance toward extending his term in office.

This became evident as Chiwenga was left to act on Mnangagwa’s behalf during his two-week absence in China, where he is attending the triennial Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Chiwenga is taking centre stage during this period, presiding over two key national events.

Last week, he officiated at the Harare Agricultural Show, and on Wednesday, he led the burial ceremony of Brigadier-General Shadreck Dingani Ndabambi at the National Heroes Acre.

Brig-Gen Ndabambi collapsed at his farm in Glendale, Mashonaland Central province, and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bindura General Hospital last week.

While in China this week, Mnangagwa reiterated that he would not seek an extension of his rule, a stance that contrasts with the desires of certain party loyalists aiming to block Chiwenga from succeeding him.

During the upcoming conference, the Zanu PF Women’s League reportedly plans to pair Chiwenga with its chairperson, Mabel Chinomona.

This strategy stems from the belief that Chiwenga lacks widespread political support within the party beyond the military, which holds no voting power.

If pitted against any established figure within Zanu PF’s structures, Chiwenga might need help to secure the necessary backing to succeed Mnangagwa post-2028.

Chiwenga was once viewed as Mnangagwa’s designated successor, a status rooted in the gentleman’s agreement forged by military leaders who orchestrated the 2017 coup that ousted Robert Mugabe.

Apostle Chiwenga Vakasiira Ani Mkadzi Wavakabvisa Virginity?

– ORIGINAL ARTICLE –

By A Correspondent | The same sex preacher Apostle Talent Farai Chiwenga has deserted his new wife, barely 5 months into marriage.

Sources close to the preacher who titles himself “mother” to his followers, confirmed the development to ZimEye saying, “It’s true he has separated from his wife following some issues,” as one member who refused to be named, said.

The preacher had not responded to requests for comment at the time of writing.

In March, ‘Apostle’ Talent Chiwenga, had his integrity questioned after altering his stance on several sermons regarding infidelity in marriage.

Chiwenga who has deleted some of his videos now preaches that wives must allow another woman to coexist with them inside the same home.

In 2019, Chiwenga advocated against the pursuit of having male offspring, stating, “If you have daughters, be content, and thank God for the children you have. No child is less of a child.” (VIDEO BELOW STORY CONTINUES)

However, by February 2024, his position shifted dramatically, now advocating for men to take a second wife specifically to father sons. He argued, “A woman who hasn’t borne a son owes her husband. Hence, if she fails to produce a son after three or four attempts, she shouldn’t complain if her husband seeks another wife for this purpose.”

He further explained, “The new wife isn’t your enemy but a helper, as you’ve failed in your duty, and your husband is merely seeking assistance. Being a wife in God’s eyes isn’t about physical appearance.”

This recent message starkly contrasts his earlier teachings. At one point, he critiqued the obsession with fathering a son to carry on the family name, asking, “Why the fixation on a male heir? Was Jesus, who left no children, mistaken in focusing on his heavenly father’s legacy? Pursuing a son could result in numerous daughters, all while missing the point of legacy and value in all children.”

This is Talent Chiwenga’s secret girlfriend, Tariro Mafuka (left) he secretly married in 2015, over 4yrs before the 120km per hr speed rush accident in the Masvingo-Mvuma strip rd that killed his wife, Rejoice (right). He says uniformed CIO’s have crossed the Limpopo into SA to kill him

The preacher Talent Chiwenga announces that it is okay to bed ones brother’s widow, without marrying her (full video clip below). LIVE DISCUSSION COMING UP 5PM-6PM UK TIME (HOWARD NYONI)

7 Months Running (review)

ARTICLE PUBLISHED ON 15 SEPT 2021 “If we thought it’s not possible for a person to sacrifice his wife for powers so their church grows, that’s what Chiwenga did. If he wants to deny that, I’ll download everything that’s happened in his face,” Talent Chiwenga’s mother in law alleged as the accused defended self saying,” God will vindicate me.”

The damning allegations were made early 2021 and have seen the preacher respond saying God will vindicate him, and then threatening her to retract the statement failure which he will institute legal action within 4 weeks. What happened after the mother in law defied the threats and continued boldly speaking?

When ‘Apostle’ Talent Chiwenga was challenged concerning alleged adultery by his own mother in law, he unleashed lawyers using fake threats after his late wife’s mother, and a ZimEye columnist, Howard Nyoni, the legal summons which are below…

as also revealed by Howard Nyoni, shortly before CHIWENGA deployed a British ‘Law firm’, through summons which claimed Nyoni is a former church adherent who is now disgruntled. (Nyoni is a veteran analyst who for years has participated in successful prosecution of church sex predators in UK and Zimbabwe),

Talent Chiwenga also began claiming Howard Nyoni is a disgruntled former member of his cult, JRM- Jesus Revelation Ministries, when such a thing has never happened. Nyoni was a panelist in a news discussion with Chiwenga in Nov 2017, during the times Talent Chiwenga was seeking publicity through the news network.

Part of the legal threats against Mr. Howard Nyoni

One of the young girls Talent Chiwenga raped is his own wife’s younger sister, Tariro Mafuka (+27 62 583 1***, we release the number as there is a criminal investigation for murder), he later secretly married more than 3 years before the accident that killed his wife, Rejoice. He would after that date, secretly drive her back to Zimbabwe from South Africa where she has been since the secret marriage, years before.

Sought for a comment over the last 3 years, Talent Chiwenga has declined responding only to resort to video streams on his church portal where he has constantly avoided the issue of his sex attacks against women and his overspeeding in Masvingo road which killed his wife, Rejoice.

In his first accident, in which he has accused Emmerson Mnangagwa, he was rescued by a top notorious ZANU PF he calls a good Samaritan, Mr Seviyas Piki, and in the 2nd one, he was rescued by an unnamed driver in a white vehicle that quickly whisked him away from the accident scene.

Meanwhile, Chiwenga says he has suffered assassination attempts in the last two accidents which have happened between 2019 and 2020.

In his own words, Talent Chiwenga says he was overspeeding for no valid reason when his wife was killedin the Masvingo-Mvuma road VIDEO, FULL TEXT

The below is a full compilation of Talent Chiwenga’s own words between June and November 2019 speaking on LIVE camera giving details on his allegations.

In his own video, recorded inside hospital less than a day after the accident, the preacher loudly says that he was speeding (in a 60km speed limit zone) at 120 kmeters per hour and he even wanted to accelerate beyond 120km for no other reason other than to rush to Harare and purchase a new fan belt for his car. No one was chasing after him. He then collided with an oncoming haulage truck and three people died as a result of the collision (accident video below).

Speaking during a church service, Talent Chiwenga said, ” I had a friend in Eugene Kanyuchi. I am sure many of you you know him. He served me in the work of Christ in the protocol department. And I had Mai Vhurumuko, and I think you all know her, you all knew her. VIDEO ( The story continues below)…

VIDEO LOADING BELOW…

“I faced death with those 2 people for as long as they were in the ministry. A week before we drove to South Africa I sat down with both of them and I said to them- you are following me everywhere I am going, I am in danger because in those three weeks before the accident we had a lot of incidents where death threats continued to come.

“I am sure you still remember at First Street when there was a message that came: run away they are going to come to kill you. And I said I am not going to run. Because I cannot run away from death death is something that nobody can run away from. So I sat with her husband and Mai Vhurumuku, and Baba Vhurumuku is not here, he works outside the country, and I told them there is death that is imminent; we knew about it it, we wrote a letter to president Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“And I told them that I was going to deliver that letter. The two of them, they volunteered to go with me, and I said if I don’t come back what happens to you?

“They said we will then not come back all of us. Vari vaviri, Baba Kanyuchi naMai Vhurumuku, ndaiti ndakavaudza kuti Vhangeri iyi ine vavengi vakawanda, ichasvika panguva yekuti tichafanirwa kuifira, vaiti, ” we are ready to die for the gospel.”

“Hapana anga aine rwendo rwekuenda kuSouth Africa pahu two hwavo. They volunteered to go with me. Three times in South Africa Thursday, Friday and Saturday, I saw a vision somebody was pointing a gun at me and I was being shot. And I was dying in that vision and then I was seeing myself dying when I was standing on the other side, and I told Baba Kanyuchi, I told Mai Chiwenga, this is what is going to happen, I am not comfortable something is about to happen. And they said let the will of the lord prevail.

“Our greatest challenge is when that time comes in our lives are we going to be holding our faith like they did? That is why we cannot count their departure, as a loss, it is not them that lost, it is us who lost. We lost an opportunity to go in good time, murikundinzwa here vadikani? Takashaiwa mukana wekuenda, zvichakanaka. So I just want to remind you that the people that do not believe do not understand their level, their carnal level, their corruptible level, their crooked level, we know what you are aiming for, we know the Lord, we know the Lord is coming. We know we shall be vindicated. We know we shall be justified. We know the gospel is going to go on. We know nobody is going to stop the gospel. We know nothing is going to stop the gospel.

“Not even the murderers, not even the politicians. Not even the CIO, not even the army, they will not stop this gospel. They can kill me today but they can’t kill the gospel.

“Tell your neighbour: they can kill me today but they can’t kill the gospel. The gospel cannot be killed because not even a bullet can reach close to the gospel. It is spiritual it is not physical.

“The AK47 kana CZ Pistol, inogona kuuraya nyama, asi mweya haigone kuuraya. So we just want to observe a moment of silence, but I want us us to first of all read this whole passage, in Phillipians chapter 1, let me read it up to verse 30. And then we observed a moment of silence to remind ourselves that there is a burden that lies squarely on our shoulders, to uphold the faith and to the very end, like our comrades did. They are our comrades, they are our heroes. They are heroes of faith, they stood firm for the gospel, and we have got to do the same. If we walk away from the faith, we are disappointing them. Hallelujah, Jesus is counting on us to stand firm unto the very end. For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

What happened after the mother in law defied the threats and continued boldly speaking? Nothing happened to her, and the legal papers were never actioned.

Chatunga faced charges of disorderly conduct after allegedly assaulting a police officer at a roadblock in Bubi, approximately 80 kilometers north of the border town.

The incident occurred when Chatunga, who was being driven by a Chinese driver, grew impatient while police officers requested vehicle documents.

According to the police, Chatunga yelled at the officers and questioned their authority before violently grabbing a Support Unit officer by the collar and tearing off his shirt buttons.

Reports also indicate that Chatunga brandished a knife during the confrontation but was eventually subdued and taken into custody.

Zimbos Prefer Chiwenga, Believe He Will Work With Chamisa

By Political Reporter- A cross-section of Zimbabweans say that they would prefer Vice President Constantino Chiwenga to be the President and think he would work with the country’s most celebrated politician, Nelson Chamisa.

This comes after indications that Mnangagwa was paving the way for Chiwenga by reversing his 2030 ndinenge ndichipo campaign.

Mnangagwa practically withdrew his intention to extend his rule by another term by delegating two key national events to Chiwenga while he attended the triennial Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Chiwenga is taking centre stage during this period, presiding over two key national events.

Last week, he officiated at the Harare Agricultural Show, and on Wednesday, he led the burial ceremony of Brigadier-General Shadreck Dingani Ndabambi at the National Heroes Acre.

Commenting about Chiwenga’s leadership, one of the readers, identified as Peter Matiashe, said the VP is a better devil. He said:
I think Chiwenga wants to work with Chamisa. President Chamisa might become the next prisoner. Watch this space, asi musataurisaka. Chiwenga knows he can’t do anything for zimbabwe so he needs help”.

CCC Interim Leader Jameson Timba and 77 Activists Acquitted of Disorderly Conduct Charges

By A Correspondent| Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) interim leader Jameson Timba and 77 party activists arrested on June 16 have been acquitted of charges of disorderly conduct.

The group faced allegations of unlawful gathering and disorderly conduct, with the State accusing them of throwing stones at police officers during their arrest. The accused had sought dismissal of the charges, arguing that they were not in a public space and, therefore, could not be charged with disorderly conduct or participating in an unlawful gathering.

Several of the accused claimed they were arrested while going about their daily activities near Timba’s house, with some asserting that the police used a dragnet arrest approach.

Magistrate Collet Ncube ruled that the State failed to prove the accused were in a public space, noting, “This court is satisfied that the gathering was inside the premises, not outside. This is contrary to the State’s evidence that it was outside No. 6 Downroad.”

Ncube emphasized the legal definition of public space, stating, “For this offence, the public space definition is essential to establish the offence. Timba’s residence does not qualify as a public space, and therefore, the charge cannot stand. There is no evidence to support the essential elements of the offence alleged by the State.”

The magistrate concluded, “I pronounce that they are all not guilty and acquitted on the count of disorderly conduct.”

However, on the charge of participating in an unlawful gathering, the magistrate noted that while the police were within their rights to make arrests, there was evidence suggesting that some of the accused were not part of the gathering and were caught in the crossfire.

The court acknowledged the individual defences of several accused, including Resca Munetsi, Violet Chitsindi, Simon Size, Calvin Charumapasi, Redeem Mandizvidza, Tatenda Mukwembi, Tawanda Mukucha, Prince Madhena, Wisdom Nyama, Tobias Mangwayana, and Lucia Kandemiri, and acquitted them on the first count.

The rest of the group will proceed to the defence case.

You can also use tools like TikTok’s Discover page, Hashtag Expert, or TikTok Hashtag Generator Tool to find popular and niche-specific tags. Aim for a mix of trending and niche-specific hashtags to reach both large audiences and people interested in your specific content.

6. Post at the Right Time

Sharing content when your target audience is most active can lead to higher engagement. This is because more people will see and interact with your content. To find the best times to post, start by checking your TikTok analytics to see when your followers are usually online.

You can also tryout with uploading at different times and days to see which periods get the most likes, comments, and shares. By posting at peak times, you increase the chances of your content reaching a larger audience and getting more interaction.

7. Engage with Your Audience

Interacting with your followers contributes to building a strong community and boosting engagement on TikTok. By replying to comments, liking posts, and engaging in conversations, you show your audience that you rate them high.

This connection encourages more people to interact with your content, helping you get more comments on TikTok. To maintain this, post regularly and consistently, so your followers know when to expect new content. Make an effort to ask questions and start conversations in your videos to raise meaningful interactions. This way, you create a loyal community eager to engage with your posts.

8. Participate in the TikTok Challenge

Participating in popular TikTok challenges can boost your visibility and engagement because they often attract a lot of viewers. When you join a trending challenge, your content gets exposed to a larger audience.

To stand out, try adding your own twist to the challenge. Be creative and original with your ideas to make your videos memorable. Use eye-catching visuals and catchy music, and ensure your content reflects your unique personality.

9. Work with Other Influencers

Collaborating with influencers gives both parties mutual benefits like increased exposure and shared followers. When you team up, both you and the influencer can reach new audiences and grow your follower base. To find influencers, look for those whose content matches your brand and has an active audience.

Approach them with a clear proposal, explaining what you offer and how the partnership benefits both sides. Be genuine and professional in your communication. For a successful collaboration, ensure that the influencer’s style aligns with your brand and agree on clear goals and expectations from the start.

Deliberate Disorder in ZANU PF: Mnangagwa’s 2030 Dream Fuels Term Extension Push

By A Correspondent| In a surprising turn of events that underscores growing internal discord within ZANU PF, the ruling party’s Manicaland Province has added its voice to mounting calls for President Emmerson Mnangagwa to extend his tenure beyond 2028.

This endorsement comes despite Mnangagwa’s public assurances during his recent visit to China that he is a constitutionalist and would not stay in office beyond his stipulated term.

At a Provincial Coordination Committee meeting held in Mutare, party members unanimously resolved to endorse Mnangagwa as the State and party leader beyond 2028.

The endorsement is set to be formalized at the upcoming 21st ZANU PF Annual National People’s Conference in Bulawayo this October.

Party officials argued that Mnangagwa’s continued leadership is critical for ensuring stability and overseeing the completion of development projects initiated by his government since 2017.

“The President’s leadership is crucial for the country’s stability and development, especially given the ongoing infrastructural projects, economic growth initiatives, and efforts at international engagement and re-engagement,” read the resolutions.

However, these endorsements raise significant questions about the true state of discipline within ZANU PF, a party known for its strict adherence to the leader’s directives.

Mnangagwa has repeatedly positioned himself as a constitutionalist who respects the rule of law, but the growing chorus of endorsements for an extended term hints at a deeper, perhaps deliberate, disarray within the party’s ranks.

Critics argue that Mnangagwa may be quietly endorsing this disorder to fulfill his long-term vision for Zimbabwe, often referred to as the 2030 dream—a strategy to transform Zimbabwe into an upper-middle-income country.

The endorsements from provincial structures, despite his public stance, suggest a strategic maneuver to test public sentiment and set the stage for potential constitutional amendments that would allow him to remain in power.

ZANU PF’s culture of strict discipline implies that party structures cannot ordinarily disregard the official positions laid down by the party leader.

As such, the endorsements from provinces appear to be an orchestrated move, indirectly sanctioned by the top leadership, to gauge support and soften the ground for a possible third-term bid.

The unfolding events also highlight the complexities of Zimbabwean politics, where public declarations and private ambitions often conflict.

As Mnangagwa continues to receive endorsements from key party structures, the question remains: is this a genuine show of support, or a calculated move to manipulate party and national sentiments for an extended rule?

As the ZANU PF conference approaches, all eyes will be on the ruling party to see whether this internal endorsement campaign will translate into tangible changes to Zimbabwe’s constitutional limits, further blurring the line between governance and personal ambition.

Activist Freed From Prison In Bizarre Anti-Govt Protest Case

By A Correspondent| The High Court has set free Tineyi Munetsi, who contested as an opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) political party candidate during the 2023 parliamentary elections, after he was arrested last month for allegedly participating in an anti-government protest held five years ago.

The 46 year-old Munetsi, who contested the 2023 Goromonzi West constituency parliamentary elections as a CCC political party candidate, was granted US$500 bail on 29 August 2024 by High Court Judges Justice Annie-Lucy Mungwari and Justice Joel Mambara, after they set aside Mbare Magistrate Rangarirayi Gakanje’s decision to deny him bail on 10 August 2024.

As part of his bail conditions, Munetsi, who was represented by Kossam Ncube of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights and Professor Lovemore Madhuku, was ordered to report once a week at Harare Central Police Station and to surrender his passport to the Clerk of Court at Mbare Magistrates Court and to continue residing at his given residential address and not to interfere with state witnesses until his matter is finalised.

Munetsi, was arrested on 3 August 2024 by Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) officers, who charged him with public violence as defined in section 36 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act for an offence reportedly committed five years ago.

Prosecutors alleged that on 14 January 2019, Munetsi forcibly disturbed the peace, security or order of the public to a serious extent by burning some ZRP vehicles, which included a Ford Ranger and a Toyota Hilux, and attacked and assaulted some police officers manning a tollgate as well as barricading the Harare-Masvingo highway with burning tyres and boulders thereby blocking the free movement of vehicles and people.

Munetsi, prosecutors alleged, took a solar panel from the roof of Southlea Park Police Station and handed it over to his accomplice Emmanuel Makumbe from whom it was recovered.

Prosecutors also claimed that Munetsi and his alleged and unnamed accomplices looted groceries and mobile phone handsets from tuckshops located at Mbudzi round about in Harare and took foreign and local currency from operators of tuckshops.

Munetsi returns to court on 6 September 2024.

Harambee Stars Coach Wary Of Zimbabwe Warriors Potential

Kenya national team coach Engin Firat has revealed his main target in the 2025 Afcon Qualifiers Group J opener against Zimbabwe on Friday.

The Harambe Stars will start their campaign against the Warriors in a match scheduled for Nelson Mandela Stadium in Kampala, Uganda.

Speaking to reporters before the team’s departure to Uganda, Firat said avoiding defeat in Friday’s opener would be crucial but his main focus is on accumulating points across all six matches.

Chiwenga Ally Languishes In Jail

By Political Reporter- Frank Buyanga, a close ally of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, has launched a fresh bid to cancel a warrant of arrest against him.

Buyanga remains incarcerated in South Africa, where he has been held since last November, following his arrest by South African authorities at the request of the Zimbabwean government. He is currently awaiting extradition proceedings.

Buyanga’s legal troubles stem from a protracted custody battle with his former girlfriend, Chantelle Muteswa, over their minor child.

A Harare magistrate’s court issued a warrant of arrest against him after he took the child to South Africa without the mother’s consent.

The warrant was briefly cancelled but was reinstated after the prosecution successfully appealed to the High Court early last year.

Now, Buyanga is seeking to have the warrant cancelled once again as he fights to regain his freedom.

Six (6) Burnt To Death In Bubi Horror Crash As Tragic Week On Roads Continues

By James Gwati – In a tragic incident near Beitbridge, six people lost their lives when a Ford Ranger collided head-on with a haulage truck in Bubi.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the accident on Tuesday, stating: “The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred this morning on 03/09/24 at the 223-kilometre peg along Masvingo-Beitbridge Road. More details will be released in due course.”

This devastating accident follows a series of deadly crashes in the region, including a Tamuka Coaches bus from South Africa to Harare overturning on Sunday, resulting in five deaths in Limpopo.

Just last week, a Mzansi bus also claimed ten lives after the driver failed to navigate a roundabout in Limpopo.

Mnangagwa In Desperate Move To Arrest Chamisa

Municipal Reporter- The Emmerson Mnangagwa-led government is reportedly planning to incriminate the country’s most popular opposition politician, Nelson Chamisa, by implicating him in a land corruption scandal.

Recently, Mnangagwa appointed a commission to investigate the City of Harare, which is under the control of Chamisa’s former party, the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC).

According to government spokesperson Nick Mangwana, the commission has gathered evidence allegedly linking Chamisa to directives instructing his councillors to illegally seize land in the capital.

Mangwana took to X (formerly Twitter) this week to lay the groundwork for Chamisa’s planned arrest.

In a post that lacks direct evidence implicating Chamisa, Mangwana claims the government possesses audio recordings of the charismatic opposition leader instructing two CCC councillors, Denford Ngadziore and Kudzi Kadzombe, to engage in corrupt practices.

This isn’t the first time Zanu PF has targeted Chamisa.

In the run-up to the 2023 elections, Chamisa survived several assassination attempts.

The ruling party then reportedly planted agents like Sengezo Tshabangu, Welshman Ncube, and Tendai Biti to undermine Chamisa’s leadership within the CCC.

Zanu PF allegedly instructed Tshabangu to accuse Chamisa of embezzling party funds, setting the stage for his arrest.

The party’s spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa, publicly confirmed this strategy, stating that they intended to prosecute Chamisa.

Mutsvangwa’s words were revealing:

“We said it before about the CCC—Chamisa has abandoned his duties. We remind Chamisa that he wrestled control of this party, renamed it ‘Wapusa Wapusa,’ and claimed he would answer to no one but foreign backers. Now, you’ve been ousted by your own creation. With you gone, those who sought to investigate you now have the opportunity to examine your leadership. There are individuals with grievances and wounds who want to know what happened to the movement of funds. The courts in this country serve everyone without bias. No one can stop the courts from ruling. I don’t know how you’ll start a new party, considering you stole this one. The task is yours to begin again, brick by brick.”

“Let’s see your wisdom, but remember, in the courts, you have enemies; people with grievances and wounds against you…”

Mnangagwa Rules Out Third Term in Office: Is He Sincere?

By A Correspondent

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has firmly ruled out seeking a third term, asserting that his presidency will conclude in 2028.

Addressing Zimbabweans in China during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) 2024 Summit, Mnangagwa emphasized his commitment to Zimbabwe’s constitutional limits on presidential terms.

“The issue of a third term does not exist under my leadership,” Mnangagwa declared. “I am currently in my second term, and I know the date I am stepping down. In 2028, I will retire, and others will take over.”

His statements come amidst speculation and internal pressure from ZANU-PF members advocating for an extension of his presidency beyond the constitutional two-term limit. Mnangagwa condemned these calls as a violation of Zimbabwe’s laws and criticized those promoting a third term as unpatriotic.

“Those calling for a third term are indeed unpatriotic and have a profound disregard for Zimbabwe and its constitutional laws,” he said, emphasizing his opposition to any attempts to amend the constitution for political gain.

Nevertheless, skepticism remains. Political analyst Paul Chisveto expressed doubts about Mnangagwa’s commitment, citing a lack of trust in ZANU-PF’s succession planning. “We will believe it when we see it in 2028. We are tired of the endless ZANU-PF politics that lack clear succession planning,” Chisveto remarked.

Opposition supporter Nhari Unendoro questioned why Mnangagwa has not addressed the growing calls for a third term within Zimbabwe itself.

“All the provinces are calling for a third term. Why hasn’t he set the record straight back home?” Unendoro asked.

Has Starlink Abandoned Wicknell Chivhayo’s IMC Communications for Frampol?

By A Correspondent| In a surprising twist for Zimbabwe’s internet landscape, Zimpricecheck has learned that Frampol, a well-established ICT solutions provider, has been granted approval to become an official Starlink reseller. This development raises questions about the status of IMC Communications, led by Wicknell Chivhayo, which had previously positioned itself as a key player in Starlink’s entry into Zimbabwe.

Frampol is wasting no time capitalizing on this opportunity, reaching out to its business clients to reserve Starlink kits ahead of the service’s anticipated launch. Their proactive approach underscores Frampol’s confidence in the potential of Starlink to transform internet connectivity in Zimbabwe.

In a communication to its customers, Frampol outlined an enticing offer:

“As our valued customer, we are thrilled to announce that Frampol has been officially approved as a Starlink Reseller! We are providing the opportunity to secure your Kit while awaiting Government approval.”

While Frampol has secured Starlink’s approval, IMC Communications has been notably quiet about its own progress. Although IMC has government approval to operate as an ISP, there is no indication that it has secured an exclusive or formal reseller agreement with Starlink. The absence of IMC on Starlink’s list of official resellers further fuels speculation that their partnership may be in jeopardy.

IMC’s silence and lack of visible engagement with potential Starlink customers stand in stark contrast to Frampol’s aggressive market entry. This raises critical questions: Has Starlink sidelined IMC in favor of Frampol? Or is IMC still in the running but lagging behind its competitor?

Apostle Chiwenga Deserts New Wife Barely 6 Months Into Marriage

By A Correspondent | The same sex preacher Apostle Talent Farai Chiwenga has deserted his new wife, barely 5 months into marriage.

Changing own sermon… Talent Chiwenga

High Court Ends Month Long Detention Of Kariba Residents

THE High Court has ended the detention of 14 residents of Kariba, who had been languishing in prison for more than one month after they were arrested in July for allegedly staging an anti-government protest in the capital city of Mashonaland West province.

The 14 Kariba residents, who are represented by Mike Mutsvairo and Clara Phiri of Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights, had spent 33 days in prison after they were arrested on 31 July 2024 in Kariba, in Mashonaland West province, and charged with participating in a gathering with intent to promote public violence, breaches of peace or bigotry as defined in section 37(1)(b) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.

Prosecutors claimed that the 14 residents, who were accused of being affiliated to Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) political party, connived to stage an unsanctioned “motorised” demonstration protesting against the continued imprisonment of their leader Senator Jameson Timba and 77 CCC members and demanding their release from prison.

During the protest, prosecutors alleged that the Kariba residents, who include 79 year-old John Houghton, a former legislator for Kariba constituency, 52 year-old George Masendu, the Ward 6 Councillor, 50 year-old Farai MagevaPatience Mukwiri aged 42 years, Kizito Mambi aged 42 years, Maxwell Chikwata aged 36 years, Cossam Muchuzuki aged 43 years, Chamunorwa Matekenya aged 43, Farisai Chaukura aged 47 years, Joseph Mili aged 55 years, Spencer Madiro aged 38 years, Evidence Mukurumbi aged 34 years and Mavhuto Harry aged 52 years, held placards written “Release Timba and the 78” “#Stop illegal arrests” “#No to one party state” “#We demand fresh elections”  and “#Stop corruption #,” which they reportedly waved to some motorists and pedestrians along the Kariba-Makuti highway.

According to prosecutors, 12 placards were recovered from the accused persons upon arrest together with a vehicle, which will be used as exhibits during trial, scheduled to commence on 17 September 2024.

The 14 residents were denied bail on 20 August 2024 by Provincial Magistrate Archie Wochiunga.

This compelled their lawyers to file an appeal at Chinhoyi High Court, challenging the denial of the release of the 14 residents on bail, where they argued that Magistrate Wochiunga had erred and misdirected himself in refusing to release them from prison on bail.

On Monday 2 September 2024, High Court Judge Justice Philda Muzofa ordered the release of the 14 residents after setting aside Magistrate Wochiunga’s ruling denying them bail.

As part of their bail conditions, Justice Muzofa ordered the Kariba residents to pay US$100 in bail money and ordered them to report once a fortnight at a police station in Kariba and to continue residing at their given residential addresses and to surrender passports with the Clerk of Court at Kariba Magistrates Court.

Welshman Ncube’s MP Flees Police Amid Rape Allegations

Hon. Happymore Chidziva on the Run: Authorities Launch Manhunt

In a dramatic turn of events, it has been confirmed that Hon. Happymore Chidziva, the Welshman CCC Party Member of Parliament for Glen View North, has disappeared and is now actively evading law enforcement authorities. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) National Spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, has disclosed that Chidziva is wanted in connection with a rape charge.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Harare has launched a full-scale manhunt for the MP, who has not been seen or heard from since he was contacted by the police. Chidziva’s mobile phones have remained switched off, and all efforts to reach him have been unsuccessful, leaving the authorities in a state of high alert.

The sudden disappearance of the MP has sparked widespread speculation about his whereabouts and motives. The ZRP has emphasized its commitment to locating Chidziva, urging him to come forward and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

As the search intensifies, the public remains on edge, awaiting further updates on the unfolding situation. The case has cast a shadow over the Welshman CCC Party, and the legal and political implications of the allegations are yet to be fully understood. The authorities continue to appeal to the public for any information that could assist in locating the fugitive MP.

Zimbabweans React To Mnangagwa’s Latest Remarks On Third Term Bid

Siphosami Malunga: It’s clear enough, but problem is that no one believes or trusts the Constitutionalism argument when, on countless times – most notably a military coup- the Constitution has been ripped apart. If the army could unconstitutionally stage a coup, a third term is nothing. Just saying.

Walter Mzembi: The Flip side of this statement by Pres @edmnangagwa. As a lifetime student of politics, I am convinced there is a solution to the Zimbabwean Question encrypted in Diplomacy, it needs the right convenors and facilitators to unlock it, understanding the man, what switches him on and off.

If President Mnangagwa answers back the 2030 putschists or coup plotters against the Constitution at the October Zanu PF Conference whose Resolution no 1 shall predictably be ” Stay on until 2030 ” & attendant amendment of the Constitution , then he will absolve himself as a Constitutionalist . But will it stop the Constitution coup plotters ?

Lynnstacia: I can never trust ED , l never trusted him in 2017 , I will not trust him in 2028 , even if he steps down in 2028 , I will still be having nightmares of him returning to power via another KUPU!

Kudzai Mtisi: Listening to President @edmnangagwa speaking here, I am forced to repeat what I once said a few weeks ago. The 2030ists in ZANU PF are adopting the G40 strategy of declaring “no vacancy” as a campaign strategy… They want to shut down everyone else, subtly attack their perceived potential successors while hiding behind “protecting the president.” Such a strategy is bound to fail, and the only result will be the division of the party … it will also DISTRACT the president from sealing his legacy… just a year after the 2023 elections, the party leaders & govt should be focusing on delivering so that 2028 will be an easy election for ZANU PF….

Nick Mangwana: His Excellency, President @edmnangagwa is focused on ensuring that the Zimbabwean people optimize their outcomes and that he leaves an indelible mark on this landscape. As a constitutionalist he doesn’t intend to gag anyone from expressing themselves. But his position is unequivocal.

Mnangagwa Rules Out Third Term Bid, Vows to Step Down in 2028

By A Correspondent| President Emmerson Mnangagwa has categorically ruled out the possibility of seeking a third term, stating unequivocally that his presidency will end in 2028.

Speaking to Zimbabweans in China during the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) 2024 Summit, Mnangagwa emphasized his commitment to upholding Zimbabwe’s constitutional limits on presidential terms.

“The issue of a third term does not exist under my leadership,” Mnangagwa declared. “I am currently in my second term, and I know the date I am stepping down. In 2028, I will retire, and others will take over.”

Mnangagwa’s comments come amidst speculation and calls from within ZANU-PF for him to extend his stay in power beyond the constitutional two-term limit. The President condemned these calls as a display of indiscipline and a disregard for Zimbabwe’s laws, criticizing those advocating for a third term as unpatriotic.

“Those calling for a third term are indeed unpatriotic and have a profound disregard for Zimbabwe and its constitutional laws,” he stated, stressing his opposition to amending the constitution for political gain.

However, doubts remain. Political analyst Paul Chisveto expressed skepticism about Mnangagwa’s commitment to stepping down, noting that trust in ZANU-PF’s succession planning is low. “We will believe it when we see it in 2028. We are tired of the endless ZANU-PF politics that lack clear succession planning,” Chisveto said.

Nhari Unendoro, another opposition supporter, questioned why Mnangagwa hasn’t publicly addressed the growing third-term calls at home. “All the provinces are calling for a third term. Why hasn’t he set the record straight back in Zimbabwe?” Unendoro asked.

Despite the ongoing internal debate, Mnangagwa used his meeting with the diaspora in China to discuss national development issues. Diaspora members commended his administration for progress in infrastructure, education, and healthcare but also raised concerns about the challenges they face abroad, including legal and economic difficulties.

Mnangagwa assured the diaspora of his government’s dedication to addressing their issues and highlighted their critical role in Zimbabwe’s development. He pledged to create a conducive environment that encourages their active participation in the country’s progress.

As Zimbabwe prepares for the FOCAC 2024 Summit, Mnangagwa’s engagement with the diaspora underscores the importance of inclusive dialogue in nation-building, even as debates over leadership and succession continue to unfold.

The cause of the accident is still unknown, but authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. The MK party has expressed shock and sadness at the loss of their comrades, who were traveling to a celebratory event.

This tragic accident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of road travel and the importance of safety measures. The MK party and the wider community are mourning the loss of these six lives, and condolences are pouring in for the families of the deceased.

As the investigation unfolds, more details will emerge about the circumstances surrounding this devastating accident. For now, the focus is on supporting those affected by this tragedy.

Malema Mourns Party Official

Lebogang Mafa, a resident of Ext. 7 in Soshanguve, was fatally shot at her home around 9 p.m. by an unknown assailant. It is believed that a stranger entered her house and shot her while she was in the dining room.

Preliminary information suggests that a dispute over a family RDP house may have led to her death.

Obakeng Ramabodu, the EFF Tshwane regional Chairperson, expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss. He described Lebogang not only as a dedicated member but as a cornerstone of strength and hope within Ward 90.

Mnangagwa Uses China Trip To Pursue Personal Business Interests

By A Correspondent

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s recent trip to China, officially described as a state visit, has come under intense scrutiny following allegations that it may be serving personal rather than national interests.

Prominent political analyst Majaira Jairosi has raised concerns about the true purpose of Mnangagwa’s visit, suggesting that it primarily revolves around personal business dealings rather than diplomatic or state matters.

Jairosi took to X (formerly known as Twitter) over the weekend to make serious allegations about Mnangagwa’s activities during his trip.

In a post, Jairosi stated, “Mnangagwa & his son used a state visit to explore their personal business interests in China.

The Mnangagwa family has business interests in mining, farming, construction, fuel & transport industry. Most of these were acquired corruptly & through nepotism & cronyism.”

These claims highlight a growing concern among critics about the potential misuse of state resources and diplomatic platforms for personal gain.

Jairosi’s assertions suggest that Mnangagwa and his son may have leveraged the official visit to further their business interests, which encompass diverse sectors including mining, agriculture, and transport.

The timing of these allegations is particularly contentious.

Mnangagwa’s visit was intended to reinforce Zimbabwe’s bilateral relations with China and seek investment opportunities for the nation.

However, the revelations of possible personal motivations have overshadowed the official narrative of the trip, raising questions about transparency and accountability.

Mnangagwa’s office has yet to respond directly to these allegations.

The Zimbabwean leader’s trip was initially presented as a significant diplomatic effort aimed at strengthening economic and strategic ties with China.

However, the focus has now shifted to scrutiny of his personal and familial financial interests, casting a shadow over the official objectives of the visit.

As Zimbabwe grapples with various political and economic challenges, the implications of these allegations could be profound.

If proven accurate, they could undermine public trust in Mnangagwa’s administration and raise questions about the integrity of official state functions.

In the meantime, the controversy surrounding Mnangagwa’s trip underscores the broader issues of governance and corruption that continue to plague Zimbabwean politics.

The international community and Zimbabwean citizens alike will be watching closely to see how these allegations are addressed and whether they will affect the ongoing diplomatic and economic relations between Zimbabwe and China.

Harare Men Appear in Court on Sodomy Charges

Harare, Zimbabwe — Two men from Harare, Tavimbanashe Chawatama (28) and Leonard Nyakudya (25), have appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing charges of sodomy. The case, which has drawn significant public attention, involves allegations of a consensual same-sex relationship between the two men.

According to the State, Chawatama and Nyakudya entered into a relationship in August 2023. They reportedly lived together and engaged in consensual same-sex activities, which were allegedly documented on their mobile phones. The case surfaced after a domestic dispute between the two on August 27, 2024.

The altercation reportedly started when Chawatama accused Nyakudya of infidelity. The argument intensified, leading Nyakudya to decide to move out of their shared residence. However, as he was about to leave, Chawatama discovered that some of his money was missing. This discovery prompted the pair to seek assistance from the police to resolve the issue of the missing funds.

It was during their interaction with law enforcement that details of their relationship and the alleged act of sodomy were inadvertently disclosed. This led to their arrest and subsequent appearance in court.

Both Chawatama and Nyakudya were granted bail set at USD 50. The case has been remanded to September 6, 2024, for further proceedings.

This case highlights ongoing legal and societal challenges regarding same-sex relations in Zimbabwe, where such relationships are criminalized. The public and legal scrutiny surrounding this case are expected to continue as it proceeds through the courts.

Emmerson Mnangagwa Loses His Arms to His Words While Announcing Intent to Step Down

By Farai D Hove | ZimEye | Beijing, China — In a bizarre turn of events, Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa seemingly lost control of his limbs while trying to convince an audience in China that he plans to step down from power at the end of his current term. The dramatic scene unfolded during a speech to the Zimbabwean diaspora in Beijing, where Mnangagwa mimicked the infamous hand gestures of his predecessor, Robert Mugabe.

In a moment that left onlookers in shock, Mnangagwa vigorously waved his arms through the air, echoing the acrobatic gestures often associated with Mugabe. “This question of having a third term does not arise, especially under my watch,” Mnangagwa declared, his arms slicing through the air with the intensity of a dancer. “No. I am in my second term, and I already know the date I am stepping down. In 2028, I’m going home, and others will take over.”

Emmerson Mnangagwa throwing his arms about

However, as the words left his mouth, it was as though his arms were detached from his body, a symbolic gesture many interpreted as a physical manifestation of the disconnect between his words and actions. Despite repeatedly altering the constitution to extend his rule and executing three military coups, Mnangagwa attempted to paint himself as a staunch defender of the law. “Me, I am a constitutionalist, I follow the law, I shall not extend my term,” he insisted.

Observers were left questioning whether Mnangagwa was indeed telling the truth or merely putting on a theatrical display for his audience. His track record, including the ousting of Robert Mugabe in 2017, the disputed 2018 election against Nelson Chamisa, and the contested 2023 election, casts a long shadow over his claims of adhering to constitutional limits.

While no actual physical harm came to the president, the dramatic episode has sparked widespread debate and concern about the sincerity of his intentions. Is this the end of Mnangagwa’s rule, or just another act in the ongoing political drama that has characterized Zimbabwean leadership for decades? Only time will tell.

Another Bus Accident in South Africa

Limpopo, South Africa — In yet another tragic bus accident on South African roads, five Zimbabweans have lost their lives after a cross-border bus overturned in Limpopo province. The accident occurred at around 17:30 on Sunday, 1st September 2024, along the N1-north towards the Nyl Plaza, just outside Mokopane.

According to Violet Mathye, Limpopo’s Member of the Executive Committee (MEC) for Transport and Community Safety, the bus was en route from Johannesburg to Zimbabwe when it overturned. “Five people – one female and four males, lost their lives as a result of the accident,” Mathye confirmed.

Tragic death… bus lies in the bush

Phuti Lekganyane, the acting spokesperson for Transport and Community Safety, elaborated in a statement that several other passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees and were subsequently transported to hospitals in Mokopane for medical attention.

While investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing, initial reports suggest that driver fatigue may have played a role in the tragedy. MEC Mathye urged bus companies to ensure that their drivers are “fit for purpose” to prevent such accidents in the future.

The aftermath… bus slid off the road

This incident marks the second fatal bus accident involving Zimbabwean nationals within a week. Just five days earlier, another cross-border bus, operated by Mzansi Express, overran a traffic circle outside Makhado (Louis Trichardt) in South Africa. The bus overturned, resulting in the death of ten Zimbabweans.

Authorities continue to investigate both accidents, while the increasing frequency of such incidents has prompted urgent calls for improved safety measures and oversight of cross-border bus operations.

The recent spate of accidents has brought renewed attention to road safety concerns in the region, with many questioning whether enough is being done to safeguard the lives of passengers traveling between South Africa and Zimbabwe.- Agencies

In the aftermath of the November 2017 coup that ousted the late President Robert Mugabe, Mnangagwa was installed as the face of the new regime, with an agreement within the junta that he would eventually hand over power to Chiwenga.

However, this pact now appears to be unravelling, with increasing momentum to endorse Mnangagwa for a third term.

All provinces have publicly rallied behind the notion of extending Mnangagwa’s presidency until 2030, even if it requires amending the Constitution.

Despite this, Mnangagwa has maintained that he is a constitutionalist and will not seek a third term, leaving Chiwenga in a precarious position.

Zanu PF Secretary-General Obert Mpofu stated that preparations for the congress are almost complete, with just a few final touches underway.

“At least 4,231 delegates are expected to attend the Zanu PF 21st National People’s Conference, including diplomats, Diaspora district delegates, chiefs, service chiefs, Government Ministers and officials, and local guests. Mobilisation of resources to feed delegates at the Conference is on track. The budget has been confirmed and is being managed effectively. Catering equipment and utensils will be sourced through the Party’s Procurement Committee, with specifications already submitted for technical assessment.

Additionally, the Transport and Social Welfare Sub-Committee has engaged the services of our trusted catering providers for the Conference,” Mpofu said.

The congress is shaping up to be a critical test for Chiwenga, who now faces mounting pressure and uncertainty about his political future.

Mnangagwa Supports Troubled Honduran Leader, Straining Diplomatic Relations

By A Correspondent

A close ally of Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa has publicly voiced support for Honduras’ beleaguered leader, Xiomara Castro. This endorsement is likely to exacerbate Mnangagwa’s already strained diplomatic relations with Western nations.

Taurai Kandishaya, a Zanu PF Youth League official, expressed his backing for Castro in a Facebook post over the weekend.

“In Honduras we stand with President Xiomara Castro, who is a victim of cruel attacks by the imperialists who have sown terror in the world, promoted coups, and established alliances to protect criminal groups that threaten our democracies,” Kandishaya wrote.

Kandishaya’s comments emphasize his perception of Castro as a defender of national sovereignty.

He added, “President Xiomara Castro, the daughter of Francisco Morazan, has taken a step in consolidating national independence and sovereignty.”

His post concluded with a call to action: “#DownWithImperialism Xiomara Castro De Zelaya.”

This public support for Castro, amid ongoing political turmoil in Honduras, is likely to complicate Mnangagwa’s diplomatic efforts with Western countries, which may view this endorsement as a sign of alignment with anti-Western sentiment.

As the international community watches closely, Mnangagwa’s foreign policy decisions continue to attract scrutiny and debate.

Is Zanu PF Sabotaging Masisi’s Campaign?

By A Correspondent

Zanu PF’s recent pledge to support Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi in the forthcoming elections has stirred significant controversy.

Kufa Makumbirofa responded to this development with a critical remark: “ZANU PF opened its mouth on Ramaphosa ndobva adyiwa, anything with ZANU PF link stinks.”

The controversy intensified when Taurai Kandishaya, a Zanu PF Youth League official, made a bold prediction about the elections.

On Friday, Kandishaya forecasted a decisive victory for Masisi, stirring concerns about potential external interference in Botswana’s electoral process.

Known for his strong support of Zanu PF, Kandishaya stated, “Here at home we are ZANU PF, in Botswana we are BDP,” highlighting the apparent alignment between Zimbabwe’s ruling party and Botswana’s ruling party, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), led by Masisi.

Kandishaya’s remarks signal Zanu PF’s active involvement in Botswana’s political affairs.

He also announced that the party would unveil their manifesto this weekend with the aim of securing Masisi’s victory, saying, “This weekend we are launching our Manifesto as we move to secure the victory of Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi.”

This development has fueled concerns about the extent of Zanu PF’s influence on the electoral process.

The possibility of Zanu PF using its political experience to impact the election results has raised alarms. Kandishaya’s statement exacerbates these fears.

In response, President Masisi has conveyed his confidence about the election outcomes, reflecting the BDP’s historical dominance.

“BDP is not used to losing, so come 2024 elections we will be piping them,” Masisi commented, aligning with Kandishaya’s optimistic view.

As the elections draw near, the involvement of Zanu PF in Botswana’s political landscape continues to be a focal point of debate and scrutiny, raising questions about the integrity of the electoral process.

Revealed : Mnangagwa’s Trip To China Merely For Personal Business Interests, Nothing To Do With Nation

Chigumba Survives Assassination Attempt

By Political Reporter-Fresh details have emerged suggesting that the accident involving Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) chairperson, Justice Priscilla Chigumba, on Sunday at Mapinga may have been an assassination attempt.

Police confirmed on Monday that Chigumba was involved in an accident near Mapinga along the Harare-Chirundu Highway.

Her Toyota Landcruiser Prado was side-swiped by another vehicle, but she escaped unhurt.

Her driver sustained minor injuries.

The accident occurred when a haulage tanker reportedly crashed into three vehicles, including Chigumba’s.

Sources within the state security claim the plan was to drag and push Chigumba’s car into the Mapinga Gorge—a steep and treacherous mountain pass.

The sources suggest that the assassination attempt was orchestrated by disgruntled top military intelligence officials who opposed the Mnangagwa-led Junta administration.

This faction is reportedly seeking genuine change in Zimbabwe, with democratically elected leaders who can improve the lives of citizens.

These military officials allegedly see Chigumba as an obstacle to this change, accusing her of being complicit in electoral fraud.

“Even she (Chigumba) knows that there is a group of senior army bosses who are opposed to her being used to stifle democracy. She has had several meetings with some of these army bosses where they warned her against facilitating electoral fraud, but she said her hands are tied,” said the highly placed sources.

The sources added that these military leaders want transparency in the electoral process to ensure that no one can accuse ZEC of bias.

Chigumba’s tenure as ZEC chairperson has been marred by controversy, with accusations of bias towards the ruling Zanu PF party.

The opposition and various international observers have consistently criticized her election management, claiming that her actions undermined the credibility of Zimbabwe’s electoral process.

The 2018 and 2023 elections, in particular, were hotly disputed, with allegations of voter suppression, irregular vote counting, and using state resources to favour the incumbent.

These accusations have further tarnished Chigumba’s image, casting doubt on the impartiality and integrity of ZEC under her leadership.

Chigumba Accused Of Causing Accident That Almost Claimed Her Life And Others

By Jane Mlambo| An eye-witness has accused the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Chairperson Priscilla Chigumba of causing an accident which almost claimed many lives along Harare-Chinhoyi road.

In a video circulating on social media, an unidentified person is heard saying, “Causer we accident ndiyeyu uyu, ndiye mukonzeri uyu” while pointing at Chigumba’s Toyota Landcruiser.

The eye-witness did not however state how Chigumba caused the accident.

According to Informatiok Secretary Nick Mangwana, the accident occurred when a haulage tanker collided with three vehicles, including Justice Chigumba’s.

“Yesterday, @ZECzim Chairperson, Justice Chigumba was involved in an accident on her way from Chinhoyi when a haulage tanker crashed into three vehicles including hers. There were no fatalities from the accident and Justice Chigumba was not injured,” Mangwana said in a statement on Twitter.

Tshinga Dube Warns Against Misleading Advisors Pushing Mnangagwa to Extend His Stay in Power

By A Correspondent| Outspoken Zanu PF politburo member Tshinga Dube has cautioned Zimbabweans to be wary of those advising President Emmerson Mnangagwa to cling to power, describing them as self-serving individuals who prioritize their personal interests over the nation’s welfare.

Speaking at the burial of liberation war hero Killion Dube at Lady Stanley Cemetery on Sunday, Tshinga Dube highlighted the dangers of misguided advice to the president. Killion Dube, who played a significant role in the country’s liberation struggle, passed away from hypertension at the age of 89 on August 25.

Dube emphasized the importance of preserving Mnangagwa’s legacy, noting his significant contributions from the liberation struggle to his current role. “We don’t want to tarnish his legacy, which he has built through his dedicated service as a leader,” said Dube.

Addressing the issue of Mnangagwa’s succession, Dube stated, “There are various opinions on the succession issue. Many party members have urged him to stay in power, but he has always said he will adhere to the Constitution. While he has not expressed any intention to cling to power beyond his term, we must remember that man proposes, but God disposes.”

Dube also criticized the president’s advisors, saying, “We must be careful with the advice given to the President so that it does not serve only individual interests. These advisors risk damaging his legacy after years of hard work.”

He clarified that the upcoming Zanu PF conference is an administrative gathering, not an elective one. Dube also paid tribute to the late Killion Dube, describing him as one of the pioneers of the liberation struggle who made significant contributions, especially in the Zambezi area.

Bulawayo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Judith Ncube, represented by the city’s deputy director for administration, Julious Gwatiwa, acknowledged Killion Dube’s role in the liberation struggle, stating, “Dube’s contribution brought freedom and dignity to all of us here today and to future generations.”

Tamuka Coaches Bus Accident Death Toll Rises To Five

Five people were killed in South Africa on Sunday when a Tamuka Luxury cross-border bus that had left Johannesburg for Zimbabwe earlier in the day overturned outside Mokopane town, Limpopo province with several more injured.

The accident, according to the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety, occurred on the N1 north towards the Nyl Plaza outside Mokopane around 5.30pm on Sunday.

Among the dead was one woman and four men.

A lot more sustained varying degrees of injuries and were ferried to hospitals in Mokopane for treatment.

The incident comes hardly a week after 10 Zimbabweans were killed with several more injured after a Mzansi Express bus that was travelling from Zimbabwe to Johannesburg was involved in a road accident near Polokwane, South Africa late Tuesday night.

MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Violet Mathye, expressed concern over the recent accidents affecting cross-border public transport operators. She appealed to bus companies to ensure their drivers are “fit for purpose”.

ZEC Chair Priscilla Chigumba Involved in Harare-Chirundu Road Accident

By Dorrothy Moyo | ZimEye | Harare, Zimbabwe – Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Chairperson, Justice Priscilla Chigumba, was involved in a serious car accident earlier today along the Harare-Chirundu road. The incident has sparked significant concern and reactions on social media, highlighting longstanding issues about the safety of the road.

The accident occurred as Justice Chigumba was traveling on the notoriously dangerous stretch of road, which has been the subject of numerous complaints from the public. Eyewitnesses and reports indicate that the vehicle, a Toyota SUV, sustained extensive damage in the crash, with the front section severely crumpled, the war veterans organisation, COZVWA reported.

Simba Chips, a concerned citizen, voiced frustration on Twitter, stating, “We have been telling them to fix this death trap of a road. Chirundu and Vic Falls roads are an urgent matter.” His sentiment echoes the feelings of many Zimbabweans who have long criticized the state of the country’s road infrastructure, particularly in high-traffic areas.

Others, however, took a lighter tone. Mamma Penny Ahee questioned, “Is the car ok?” while Mzukulu kana Roe added, “Is the road alright?”—comments that seem to reflect a mix of concern and a sense of irony given the condition of the road.

At the time of writing, it is unclear if Justice Chigumba sustained any injuries in the accident. There has been no official statement from the ZEC or local authorities regarding the incident. The cause of the accident has yet to be determined, and further investigations are expected to follow.

The Harare-Chirundu road has been a critical issue in Zimbabwe, with many calling for immediate government intervention to prevent further accidents. Today’s incident involving such a high-profile figure could potentially reignite the debate over road safety in the country.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

How Mnangagwa Tricked Guveya

By A Correspondent

Power struggles within Zanu PF have exposed the dynamics behind the November 2017 coup that ousted the late President Robert Mugabe.

Emerging details suggest that President Emmerson Mnangagwa used his -deputy, Constantino Chiwenga, to lead the coup that ultimately secured Mnangagwa’s rise to power.

At the time of the coup, Chiwenga was the commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces.

Just weeks before the military intervention, Mugabe had fired Mnangagwa, prompting him to flee the country with the assistance of the military, eventually seeking refuge in South Africa.

Mugabe’s intent was clear—he wanted to jail Mnangagwa and charge him with treason for plotting against him.

However, Mnangagwa, who had been collaborating with the military for some time, leveraged Chiwenga to trigger the coup.

Chiwenga himself was also a target of Mugabe’s crackdown.

During the coup, Mnangagwa reportedly struck a gentleman’s agreement with the military, promising to rule for two terms before handing power to Chiwenga.

However, recent developments indicate that Mnangagwa is now mobilizing against Chiwenga, signalling his intent to breach that agreement.

These revelations suggest that Chiwenga, rather than being the driving force behind the coup, was merely a pawn in Mnangagwa’s strategy to ascend to the highest office in the land.

Richard Tsvangirai, the current Member of Parliament for Norton, is carrying forward this legacy with the same dedication to public service.

Richard Tsvangirai recently demonstrated his commitment by engaging directly with his constituents in Kingsdale. “I spent this (Saturday) morning discussing development-related issues with the residents of Kingsdale,” he shared.

The younger Tsvangirai’s approach is grounded in fostering unity and transparency, essential elements for societal progress.

This promise underscores a dedication to serving his constituents with integrity, ensuring that their needs and interests remain at the forefront of his efforts.

In following his father’s path, Richard Tsvangirai not only honors Morgan Tsvangirai’s memory but also reinvigorates the core principles of political service that prioritize community well-being over personal ambition.

ZiG Useless, Inefficient

By Tinashe Sambiri

In a surprising turn of events, Zanu PF stalwart Killer Zivhu has criticized Zimbabwe’s new currency, ZiG, calling it ineffective and practically useless.

His comments, made in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, have sparked a wave of reactions and debate.

Zivhu’s scathing remarks highlighted his frustration with the ZiG currency, suggesting it is far from practical.

“Pakuda 50kg ye headache tablets kuti ukwanise kushandisa ZIG, ukarega unofa ne BP,” he wrote, which translates to, “You need 50 kg of headache tablets to use ZiG, otherwise you will suffer from high blood pressure.”

He further criticized the currency’s reliability, likening its value to that of ethanol sold as petrol, stating, “Ukapinda muShop ne ZIG rinopera fast kunge ethanol yatinotengeserwa tichinzi petrol,” which means, “If you enter a shop with ZiG, it vanishes quickly like ethanol sold as petrol.”

Zivhu’s comments underscore a growing discontent with the new currency among some Zimbabweans.

By branding the currency as “masaramusi chete,” meaning “pure nonsense,” he emphasizes the perceived inadequacies and challenges associated with its use.

The criticism from such a high-profile Zanu PF member adds a layer of complexity to the ongoing discussion about Zimbabwe’s economic reforms and the effectiveness of its new monetary policies.

Barcelona Bury Valladolid

Raphinha scored the first hat-trick of his career and provided two assists to inspire an imperious Barcelona to a 7-0 rout of Real Valladolid in LaLiga on Saturday.

Barcelona will go to the international break top of the table with a perfect 12 points from four games, five ahead second-placed Villarreal and seven clear of bitter rivals Real Madrid in fourth, both of whom have a game in hand.

Facing a Valladolid team who gave Madrid a tough game last weekend, Barcelona were ruthless and showed from the start why they have been Spain’s most impressive side this season under new manager Hansi Flick.

Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski gave the host a two-goal lead within four minutes with similar efforts from counterattacks, controlling long balls by Pau Cubarsí and Lamine Yamal before tidy finishes past the goalkeeper.

Jules Koundé extended the lead striking a rebound from a corner in added time before the break and, after Lewandowski hit the post, Raphinha scored twice from close range to extend Barça’s lead.

The Brazil international continued his masterclass with an assist to new signing Dani Olmo who, after hitting the post twice and missing an absolute sitter from close-range, finally managed to score in the 82nd minute in his first start for Barça.

Substitute Ferran Torres completed the drubbing from another assist by Raphinha who is second in the LaLiga top-scorer race with three goals, one behind Lewandowski.

Mnangagwa Smuggles Son into High-Profile International Government Meeting

Political Reporter-President Emmerson Mnangagwa has included one of his sons, Collins in an international government meeting underway in China.

The two and several government ministers are attending the week-long triennial Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Collins, who holds no official government position, was present at the high-profile event, prompting questions about his role.

Like others before, this trip appears to have blended state affairs with the Mnangagwa family’s business interests, particularly in mining, farming, construction, fuel, and transport.

Many believe these ventures have been amassed through corrupt practices, nepotism, and cronyism.

This is not the first time Mnangagwa’s inner circle, including business mogul Kuda Tagwireyi, has accompanied him on international trips.

Every time they travel abroad on a state ticket, these Mnangagwa associates, alongside his son, would negotiate personal business deals on Mnangagwa’s behalf while leveraging state resources for their own gain.

Barcelona Ruthlessly Hammer Real Valladolid

How Mnangagwa Used Chiwenga To Seize Power

These revelations suggest that Chiwenga, rather than being the driving force behind the coup, was merely a pawn in Mnangagwa’s strategy to ascend to the highest office in the land

Chiwenga Overpowers Mnangagwa, Declares His Ally National Hero

Political Reporter-Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has overpowered his boss, Emmerson Mnangagwa, and declared his ally, Brigadier-General Shadreck Dingani Ndabambi, a national hero.

Mnangagwa and his other deputy, Kembo Mohadi, are out of the countr.

Mnangagwa left for China last week to attend the triennial Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), while Mohadi is in Indonesia for the Second Indonesia-Africa Forum.

Chiwenga declared his ally Ndabambi a national hero whose authority and prerogative are for the President.

Brig-Gen Ndabambi collapsed at his farm in Glendale, Mashonaland Central province, and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bindura General Hospital last week.

Chiwenga also took charge of the Harare Agricultural Show, which concluded yesterday.

Govt Says It’s Blown USD1,7 Billion For SADC Summit Roads, Money Full Enough to Spaghetti-fy The Whole Country’s Roads

Government Under Scrutiny After US$1.7 Billion Road Rehabilitation Spend Ahead of SADC Summit

By Dorrothy Moyo | ZimEye | The Zimbabwean government has come under intense scrutiny after it was revealed that over US$1.7 billion has been spent on road rehabilitation projects in the run-up to the recently concluded Southern African Development Community (SADC) Summit. Transport Minister Felix Mhona disclosed these figures, positioning the expenditure as part of the government’s broader effort to enhance national infrastructure.

Felix Mhona

The announcement has sparked widespread public outrage, with many citizens questioning the accuracy and necessity of such an exorbitant spend. Critics argue that the amount reported far exceeds the usual budget allocations for road maintenance, prompting allegations of corruption and financial mismanagement.

One Facebook user, Moses Madungwe, expressed shock at the figures, suggesting that the amount is “shocking” and accusing government officials of inflating costs. He noted that the US$1.7 billion figure is well over 350% of the ministry’s annual budget and even 30% more than the national budget. According to Madungwe, such a sum should be enough to cover all roads across the country, not just those utilized for the summit.

Madungwe further alleged that funds may have been misappropriated, comparing the purchase of palm trees, reportedly at US$500 each, while they are typically valued at much less. “1.7 [billion] should have been stolen,” he concluded, indicating strong suspicions of graft.

Another commenter, Shepherd Nyathi, echoed these concerns, questioning the accuracy of the report or the honesty of the ministry’s statements. Nyathi’s skepticism reflects a broader sentiment among Zimbabweans, many of whom have become disillusioned by repeated instances of corruption within the government.

### Government’s Stance on Infrastructure Development

The Zimbabwean government has been emphasizing the need to develop its infrastructure to spur economic growth. The rehabilitation of roads, particularly ahead of international events like the SADC Summit, is part of this strategy. Minister Mhona highlighted the importance of these investments, arguing that modernized roads are crucial for improving the country’s economic prospects and enhancing connectivity within the region.

However, the massive budget allocation for this purpose has led to calls for transparency. Many citizens and opposition figures are demanding a detailed breakdown of how the US$1.7 billion was spent, urging the government to account for every dollar to dispel doubts of financial mismanagement.

### Potential Implications

The controversy surrounding this expenditure could have significant political ramifications. If the allegations of corruption are substantiated, it may further erode public trust in the government, potentially impacting future elections and the country’s overall political stability. Additionally, this situation could draw the attention of international observers, particularly as Zimbabwe seeks to attract foreign investment and improve its global image.

In conclusion, while the Zimbabwean government aims to justify its investment in national infrastructure, the public backlash over the US$1.7 billion road rehabilitation expenditure reveals deep-seated concerns about transparency and accountability. As the situation develops, all eyes will be on the government’s response to these serious allegations and the steps it takes to address the growing discontent among the population.

Chiwenga Tightens Grip As Mnangagwa, Mohadi Leaves The Country

By Political Reporter-Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has strengthened his hold on power following the departure of both President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his other deputy, Kembo Mohadi, from the country.

Mnangagwa left for China last week to attend the triennial Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), while Mohadi is in Indonesia for the Second Indonesia-Africa Forum.

In Mnangagwa’s absence, Chiwenga made a significant move by declaring his ally, Brigadier-General Shadreck Dingani Ndabambi, a national hero.

Brig-Gen Ndabambi collapsed at his farm in Glendale, Mashonaland Central province, and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bindura General Hospital last week.

Chiwenga also took charge of the Harare Agricultural Show, which concluded yesterday.

AUDIO: ANOTHER COUP?- Large Army Of Armed Security Forces Swamp Zambia Highway To Arrest Chamisa Like Mugabe In 2017

By A Correspondent | ZimEye | A large army of security forces swamped the Zambia highway on Wednesday to arrest opposition leader, Nelson Chamisa in a similar way they did the late Robert Mugabe in 2017.

The deployment was made to stop him from addressing a funeral, a whistleblower says in a viral audio clip.

Since 2017, several deployments have been done on Chamisa including on 1 Aug 2018 to change election results and on 23 Aug 2023 for the same outcome.

The whistleblower, a male, narrates as follows:

Good morning citizens. How are you Children of Nelson Chamisa the young man loved by the masses. Yesterday (Wednesday) the police and ZANU PF obtained rumours that Chamisa is coming to Champion Makanyaire’s funeral at Magunje. Guys, listen, large crowds of police swamped into the Magunje Hospital area to block Chamisa.

The roadblock was as if someone has been murdered.

There were guns all over, garrisoning the whole area, conducting searches for Chamisa.

If Chamisa isn’t in power, why are you going after him? This is clear evidence that ZANU PF didn’t win the election.

Chamisa is the one who won the election. They are always in panic, worrying about what people are thinking.

They are always in panic. thinking the citizens will rise up to take back the country; and fight for their stolen votes. That’s why they keep saying, Chamisa, Chamisa, Chamisa.

Change won’t come in one day, it will come one way or the other.

What became clear yesterday on Wednesday is that Chamisa is the only person who is in power. It was so clear as police mounted roadblocks with guns five each side. It became tickers that Chamisa is the one holding the country together, a huge roadblock mounted over Chamisa.

Let’s keep fighting. Tell them that we won’t leave Chamisa.

Thank you citizens, be blessed evermore.- ZimEye

Chidimma Adetshina Wins Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 | BREAKING

Chidimma Adetshina Emerges as Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 Amid Controversy and Rejection by South African Authorities

By Showbiz Reporter | ZimEye | Vanessa Adetshina, a 23-year-old law student born and raised in South Africa to a Nigerian father and a Mozambican mother, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024. Adetshina, who entered the competition as Miss Taraba, emerged victorious in a night filled with beauty, talent, and unexpected twists.

However, Adetshina’s path to the crown was marred by controversy. Her journey began with her participation in the Miss South Africa pageant, but she was forced to withdraw just a day before the final round following accusations from South Africa’s Home Affairs Ministry. The Ministry alleged that Adetshina’s mother was involved in fraud and identity theft, casting a shadow over her eligibility to compete.

In response to the allegations, the Home Affairs Ministry released a statement rejecting her participation, citing serious concerns over her mother’s legal status in South Africa. The Ministry’s spokesperson said, “We have reason to believe that there are irregularities regarding the documentation and legal status of Ms. Adetshina’s family in South Africa, and until these matters are resolved, we cannot endorse her participation in the Miss South Africa pageant.”

Facing public scrutiny and a barrage of xenophobic attacks on social media, Adetshina made the difficult decision to step back from the Miss South Africa competition. “After much careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to withdraw myself from the competition for the safety and well-being of my family and I,” she wrote on Instagram. Her announcement followed weeks of online abuse, with some critics — including cabinet ministers — questioning her credentials and legitimacy due to her Nigerian descent.

Despite this setback, Adetshina was invited by the Miss Universe Nigeria organizers to compete in their pageant, which she accepted, representing Taraba. Her participation brought fresh energy and determination to the competition, and she soon became a crowd favorite.

The Miss Universe Nigeria pageant was a glittering event, filled with remarkable talent and fierce competition. The evening saw Miss Anambra, Paula Ezendu, emerge as the first runner-up, earning the title of Miss Supranational, while Miss Ondo, Ayegbidun Peace Olamide, secured the second runner-up position, known as Miss Lush. Special awards were also given to Miss Rivers and Miss Kwara for their outstanding performances.

Other notable winners included Miss Oyo, who scooped the Top Model Award, Miss Imo, who won the Best Costume Award, and Miss Abuja, who took home the Best Talent Award. The top ten finalists included contestants from Kwara, Edo, Taraba, Anambra, Ogun, Plateau, Lagos, Rivers, Ekiti, and Ondo.

As the competition reached its climax, the top five finalists — Miss Taraba, Miss Rivers, Miss Edo, Miss Ondo, and Miss Anambra — were announced. Among the three contestants with the highest votes, Adetshina emerged as the new Miss Universe Nigeria, based on the judges’ scorecards.

Reflecting on her unexpected journey, Adetshina shared, “This victory is a testament to resilience and perseverance. Despite the challenges and the rejection by the Home Affairs Ministry, I have shown that no obstacle is too great to overcome. I am honored to represent Nigeria and to show the world that strength and grace can come from even the most trying circumstances.”

Adetshina’s victory not only highlights her beauty and talent but also underscores her determination to succeed despite the obstacles thrown in her path. Her story has resonated with many, proving that courage and resilience can triumph over adversity.

Sikhala Trashes Mnangagwa 2030 Anenge Achitonga Maxim

By A Correspondent

In a recent statement, Job Sikhala, a prominent opposition leader, has criticized President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s ambitious “2030 Anenge Achitonga” vision. Sikhala’s comments reflect his discontent with Mnangagwa’s policies and his broader disapproval of the current political direction in Zimbabwe.

On Wednesday, Sikhala made it clear that Mnangagwa’s plans for 2030 are misguided and detrimental to the country’s progress.

He accused Mnangagwa of trampling on the constitution and dismissed the president’s vision as unrealistic. Sikhala said, “Those of us who strongly opposed the coup in November 2017 and were ruthlessly insulted and vilified at the material time, doesn’t mean to say that we must now beat our chests and remind those who were dancing and jumping in the streets that ‘we told you’ because we are all suffering and in the same predicament.”

Sikhala emphasized that the issues facing Zimbabwe are shared among all citizens, regardless of their stance on the coup.

He noted, “It is a complete wrong because we should respect the thoughts of everyone at that moment because everyone was tired of Robert Mugabe, who seemed not willing to release power until death.”

Furthermore, Sikhala urged for a collective effort to address the current challenges, stating, “The problems of the moment are ours together, those who viciously disapproved of the coup and those who danced in the streets welcoming it.”

He expressed a firm belief that the country must work together to resolve its issues, rejecting Mnangagwa’s vision as mere rhetoric.

“No one is bearing with the ‘2030 anenge achitonga’ nonsense. It is all our duty to cure the coup, my dearest brothers and sisters!!!”

Sikhala’s comments underscore the deep divisions and frustrations within Zimbabwean politics, highlighting the ongoing struggle for a unified and effective approach to the nation’s governance.

Mnangagwa Man Vows To Campaign For Masisi In Botswana Polls

By A Correspondent

In a provocative statement that has stirred controversy, Zanu PF Youth League official Taurai Kandishaya has predicted a resounding victory for Botswana’s President Mokgweetsi Masisi in the upcoming elections.

Kandishaya’s comments, made on Friday, have reignited fears about potential interference in Botswana’s electoral process.

Kandishaya, known for his outspoken support of Zanu PF, confidently asserted, “Here at home we are ZANU PF, in Botswana we are BDP.” His remarks suggest a close alignment between Zimbabwe’s ruling party and Botswana’s ruling party, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), which Masisi leads.

The Zanu PF Youth League official’s statement underscores the party’s active involvement in Botswana’s political landscape.

Kandishaya announced that the party would be unveiling their manifesto this weekend, declaring their intent to secure Masisi’s victory. “This weekend we are launching our Manifesto as we move to secure the victory of Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi,” he said.

The notion of external influence in Botswana’s elections is a contentious one.

There are growing concerns that Zanu PF might leverage its political experience to sway the election results in favor of the BDP. Kandishaya’s declaration only amplifies these fears.

President Masisi himself has expressed confidence about the upcoming elections, reflecting his party’s historical dominance. “BDP is not used to losing, so come 2024 elections we will be piping them,” Masisi stated, aligning with Kandishaya’s optimistic outlook.

As the elections approach, the implications of Zanu PF’s involvement in Botswana’s political affairs remain a subject of intense scrutiny and debate.

The focus now shifts to ensuring the integrity of Botswana’s electoral process amidst these developing dynamics.
