By Farai D Hove| President Emmerson Mnangagwa flies back to Zimbabwe tomorrow after signing 7 Memorandum Of Understandings.

President Mnangagwa says it was a huge success which will see the refurbishment of Hwange Power Station Units 7 and 8 and also the setting up of offices by the China Communication Construction Company.

He said, “While my visit to the People’s Republic of China has been my first State visit outside Africa, it has been a resounding success. We had a very long discussion with President Xi Jinping and we covered an array of issues political, economic, regional and international.

“I am so happy with the chemistry that has developed between us. Zimbabwe is going through a new dispensation and there is a lot of hope and expectation, so we have come to the People’s Republic of China as our first port of call outside Africa and I am hopeful that the assistance in terms of grants and loans will see help us greatly.”
