Government officials in Buhera District have revealed President Emmerson Mnangagwa has bunked the commissioning of a dam project for the third time in as many weeks.

According to government officials in Buhera, Mnangagwa is expected to officiate at the commissioning of the Marovanyati Dam Project.

Government officials at the Buhera District offices accused the head of state of dragging his feet without giving reasons for the prolonged delay.

“The President has postponed his visit for the third time in three weeks.

We have been kept guessing and we feel his failure to come is hampering development in the area,” said a government official.

“We do not have the actual date of his visit although we have been advised that his visit is imminent,” added the official.
