The ruling party Zanu PF has described allegations of election rigging as cheap political rhetoric.

According to the Zanu PF official responsible for the supervision of primary elections in Masvingo Province Munyaradzi Muchacha the polls were held in a free and fair manner.

Muchacha said the ruling party would not be moved by” mere bar talk.”

“We are happy with the process as we conclude the collation of results.

I acknowledge that some anomalies have been reported but the situation is under control. We are on top of the situation,” said Muchacha.
