By Paul Nyathi|President Emmerson Mnangagwa has temporarily withdrawn all the ZANU PF primary election winning candidates.
Addressing thousands of party supporters who gathered at the Harare International Conference Centre on Friday at the launch of the party election manifesto, Mnangagwa said that the party politburo will sit on Saturday and make a determination on the candidates.
According to the programme of the day, the party was meant to unveil all the party’s candidates elected at the weekend primary elections.
President Mnangagwa said that due to massive appeals and complains from the members on how the primary elections were conducted the party politburo will revisit the results and make a determination on the appeals.
“Whatever teething problems we have experienced so far we have noted them closely this is why we will not announce the final list today,” he said amid cheers from the supporters.
“The politburo will be meeting tomorrow to go through the results in order for us to look at all the challenges that have been faced in the processes of the primaries,” said Mnangagwa.
