By Own Correspondent| Deputy Minister Terence Mukupe’s apology has been described as a display of arrogance which is synonymous with Zanu Pf amid increasing calls for him to step down.
Mukupe, who is on record saying that the military will not allow MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa to ascend to power even if he wins the forthcoming polls said in his statement that he was quoted out of context.
He however apologised for his ARV slur to former Finance Minister, Tendai Biti during a live debate at SFM where he asked him whether he had taken his ARV.
After his statement on national radio, Mukupe allegedly walked out of the studio and assaulted Newsday journalist Blessed Mhlanga’s wife and confiscated her mobile phone with the assistance of his security aides.
Below are some of the thoughts sent by citizens on Twitter.
Lol…this is not an apology, It's a display of arrogance at the highest level…synonymous with Zanu PF. He is like this Mutsvangwa

Apology accepted but please do follow this up with a resignation letter. That is taking responsibility for your action. Perhaps you will gain some sympathy votes if you man up and step aside for now.

This is more a defence and him justifying his actions than it is an apology. When h does decide to apologise i think h should also even apologise for this statement.
