By Dorrothy Moyo| MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has said that the army cannot break the law and succeed at reversing the outcome of the upcoming election.

Analysts project that the 40-year old is winning the upcoming elections and a recent poll showed that he is likely to win by 81% of the vote while he’s opponent gets the rest which is 19%.

Speaking in Beitbridge on Saturday, Chamisa said,

“(Terence) Mukupe said if I win, the army won’t allow me to rule, he said they will stop me from ruling. This will not happen because soldiers are patriotic and professional. They don’t serve an individual but they follow the will of the people and therefore they will support the will of the people because it’s the people who would have elected me,” he said.
