
By Own Correspondent| The country’s elections body, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has revealed that the Nomination court will sit on June 14 2018 in Court A at the High Court to accept submissions for those wishing to run for presidency in the forthcoming polls.
The notice comes following President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s proclamation which declared that Zimbabwe will hold its elections on July 30 2018.
According to the ZEC, those wishing to contest for Presidency must be Zimbabwean citizens, be registered voters, have reached a minimum age of 40, be nominated by at least 10 registered voters from each of the country’s ten provinces and should pay a nomination fee of US$1000.
