Priscilla Chigumba: the first point to take note of is that we as the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission we are yet to be served with the order…. we are yet to be served with a copy of the order by the applicant therefore I am not able to comment… I am told that we ought to provide a provisional voters roll within 5 days…. but I just want to say that the first thing is that our law does not provide for any creature called the provisional voters roll that was an administrative … so there is no mention of a provisional voters roll in the constitution.

The second thing is that if we have been ordered to provide a copy of the voters roll that verdict will have been preceded by events because we no longer have a provisional voters roll, we bowbhave a final voters roll.
