The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission(ZEC) is investigating a case in which a ruling party official threatened members of the apostolic sect over receiving donations from an independent candidate in Masvingo North Constituency.

ZEC received the report from Pascal Mudzikisi, an independent aspiring MP for Masvingo North Constituency at the weekend.

Mudzikisi alleged that he donated roofing sheets to a church in Ward 14, Zano area, Masvingo North Constituency and Zanu PF MP for the area, Davis Marapira allegedly threatened the leaders who then removed the roofing sheets.

“There is naked intimidation of villagers in Masvingo North Constituency and nobody has been reprimanded for creating the chaos.

I donated roofing sheets to a sect in Masvingo North Constituency and the leaders were threatened by a ruling party official,” alleged Mudzikisi.
