MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa will on Sunday step into the vortex of a raging storm in Masvingo Province following the imposition of candidates for both the National Assembly and local government.

Chamisa will address a star rally at Mucheke Stadium in the wake of simmering battles within the fragmented coalition.

The MDC Provincial leadership still cringing under the weight of its controversial imposition of unpopular candidates is desperate to use Chamisa’ s rally to restore public confidence.

There are clear indications that MDC Alliance candidates have all but failed to position themselves for victory in the July 30 polls and the rally will be used to shore up the coalition’ s waning support base in the province.

Despite the empty bravado from the alliance leaders in the province, party sources have revealed the coalition’ s frontrunners are quaking in their boots.
