The Zimbabwe Republic Police has denied mounting guard for ZANU PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa’s reported inauguration. Below was their statement:

We dismiss this report, whatever the outcome of the crt process the ZRP always deploys for security reasons. It is police responsibility to maintain law and order. Any high profile case of this nature & threats that have been made b4 calls for security measures to be in place.
