Auxilia Mnangagwa
1.  Birthday and place of birth: Auxillia was born on 25 March 1963 in Mazowe, Mashonaland Central.

2. Family life: Second child in a family of five.

3. Primary and secondary education: Grew up on a farm in Chiweshe where she attended primary and secondary school.

4. Political office: Entered politics in 1982, rising to the politburo.

 


5. Tertiary education: Studied in the Environment and Tourism department at the University of Zimbabwe, left for Switzerland two years later, graduating in Hotel and Tourism Administration in 2001.

6. Giving back to the community: Set up a number of women’s banks in Silobela, Zhombe, Kwekwe and Chirumanzu-Zibagwe.

7. Marriage: Married Mnangagwa after the death of his previous wife Jayne, who was the sister of Josiah Magama Tongogara. The couple has been married for 30 years

8. Projects and campaigns: Auxillia has been involved in many campaigns to try and end early childhood marriages.

9. She was a member of the Pan African Parliament before resigning to focus of her philanthropic work.
