Cholera Strikes Again, As Shamva Records Two New Cases

By Own Correspondent| Two new cholera cases have been recorded in Shamva mining area recently.

The two patients were however treated and discharged.

The first cholera case was recorded at Mhondoro mining area. The second case was recorded on Thursday last week.

Shamva district medical officer, Tendayi Kamuriwo confirmed the two cholera cases but said the government was on top of the situation.

Said Kamuriwo:

“Indeed, we received two patients who tested positive for cholera, but they have since been discharged and we do not have any admissions. The two have since recovered. We are very much alert.”
