Reports indicate that the Clinical Director of Parirenyatwa, Dr Madziva, who resigned on Monday from both Parirenyatwa and Government Service is still required to come for a hearing on why he didn’t meet the Health Minister Obadiah Moyo when he visited the hospital.

Dr Madziva was reportedly in surgery operating a patient during the time of Minister Moyo’s visit.

A letter written to Dr Madziva by Acting Secretary for Health and Child Care, Dr G. Mhlanga reads in part:

The Hon Minister of Health and Child Care and the Assistant Minister of Health of the United Arab Emirates visited PGH on the afternoon of the 29th of March and were attended to by available senior management.

You are advised to submit your written response if any to the undersigned before the date of the hearing.

You are also notified that your disciplinary hearing will be held at Head Office on the 9th of May 2019.

You are kindly requested to take all the necessary measures to ensure that you are available on the stated date and time.
