Farai Dziva|Opposition MPs today grilled Social Welfare Minister Sekesai Nzenza over politicization of food aid in rural constituencies.

Nzenza dismissed reports of politicization of food aid in the rural areas.

“As far as I am concerned, food aid is being distributed evenly.Do you have the evidence to prove that food is being distributed on partisan basis? If you have the proof please submit the information in writing,” said Nzenza.

Her remarks triggered protests from opposition MPs who accused her of deliberately misrepresenting facts.

“You are deliberately misleading us and I think that is uncalled for- we expect you to be objective,” said Harare Central MP Murisi Zwizwai.
