Jane Mlambo| The opposition MDC will today hold a memorial rally for the late Vimbai Tsvangirai in her constituency in Glen View South.

According to the MDC President, Nelson Chamisa the rally will be an opportunity for his constituency to bid farewell to their legislator who will be buried tomorrow at the Glen Forest cemetery.

After the Glen View rally, her body will be taken to the party headquarters Harvest House now named after the founding leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

Vimbai died on Monday afternoon at West End hospital where she had been admitted since her involvement in a road accident along Bulawayo-Harare highway while coming from a party function in Bulawayo.

The same accident claimed her campaign manager Paul Rukanda and relative Tafadzwa Mhundwa.

She had just been elected in absentia, the Secretary General of the party’s Women’s Assembly at the Gweru elective congress.
