Mnangagwa Donates US $ 200 000 To Zimbabwe Warriors

Farai Dziva | Emmerson Mnangagwa pledged US$200 000 at the Warriors’ fundraising dinner on Wednesday evening.

The event was hosted by a committee led by acting Sports minister Kazembe Kazembe at Cresta Lodge in Harare where a number of organisations were also in attendance.

Mnangagwa unveiled a US$200 000, and a further RTGS $300 000 to help the Warriors in their Afcon campaign.

Mnangagwa also auctioned his scarf and the Fundraising Committee’s Vice chairman Kudakwashe Tagwireyi was the highest bidder with RTGS$250 000.

Tino Machakaire took home a signed soccer ball worth US$ 10 000 while organisations like Zimplats also chipped in with their contributions.

The Warriors are already in Egypt and will start their campaign on the opening match-day on June 21 against the hosts.
