South African opposition leader Mmusi Maimane has cornered President Cyril Ramaphosa over the ongoing xenophobic attacks saying quite diplomacy on Zimbabwe will not work.

Maimane said South Africa is fast becoming a failed state due to increased acts of violence which he said requires government to act.

Fellow South Africans, we cannot adopt quiet diplomacy when it comes to Zimbabwe. Reports are such that over 2 million Zim citizens went to bed hungry last night and every other. The country is fast becoming a failed state, acts of violence on the rise therefor SA must intervene
