By Own Correspondent| Family members of a United Kingdom based Zimbabwean who participated in most demonstrations against the Zanu PF government have fled the country after victimisation from suspected Zanu PF activists.

The Mwanza family who grew up in Kadoma had been subjected to victimisation following their sibling’s participation in anti- government protests.

Narrating the ordeal of how she has been alienated with her family Anna Mwanza who has been involved in anti-government protests says she is living in fear for her brothers and sisters.

“We were born and bred in Rimuka, Kadoma. I came to the United Kingdom in 2004 however after participating in protests against the Zimbabwean Government my siblings have been victims of abuse from Zanu PF activists. Now I fear for their lives.

“Three of my sisters have since fled the country to South Africa and their whereabouts are unknown. One brother is deceased and the other one is nowhere to be seen however, only one brother is still residing at the family home in Kadoma while the other sister is married and lives in Buhera with her husband” says Mwanza

“It is disheartening to note that those entrusted to protect citizens are the ones causing harm to innocent civilians. This cruelty should come to an end”

The 54 year old Mwanza is worried that a return to Zimbabwe will further complicate things for the already fragile family.
