Own Correspondent|The Zimbabwe Republic Police’s Criminal Investigations Department has started an exercise in which it will profile all firearm holders.

The process which began on 2 January 2020 affects new and current owners. That means if you are getting a new license and have never owned a gun or are renewing your current one.

Said the circular:

The new development by the Criminal Investigations Department is aimed at profiling and accounting for all firearms in the country.

Firearm Holders are to bring their firearms together with three live rounds for the process to the ballistics section at which is situated at CID Headquarters along Josiah Chinamano Ave in Harare. The process is being done free of charge.
