By A Correspondent- Five British nationals resident in France have tested positive to the coronavirus. The development was confirmed by the French health minister, Agnes Buzyn who said that they were not in a critical condition.
Agnes Buzyn added that the Brits, including one child, were diagnosed after coming into contact with a person who had been in Singapore.
The development brings the total number of positive cases in France to 11, with the number in Europe rising to 35.
Since the outbreak of the virus in December, 722 people have so far died from the virus in mainland China and 34,546 have been infected.
Another three have died from the coronavirus outside of China – one in Hong Kong, one in the Philippines and one in the US.
