By A Correspondent- Zanu PF acting secretary for Administration Patrick Chinamasa said that the Anti-Sanctions Day, as set by SADC, will now be an annual event.

Speaking in an interview, Chinamasa said the Day will be held annually until the sanctions are removed.

He said:

We remain under sanctions and the Anti-Sanctions Day is going to be an annual event to demand the lifting of those sanctions because until those sanctions are lifted, we cannot expect a normal economy because the sanctions are excluding Zimbabwe from access to international capital markets.

Last year the government held an anti-sanctions rally at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on 25 October to call for the lifting of sanctions.-statemedia
