Parly Suspends Public Hearings For Mnangagwa’s Controversial Constitutional Amendment Bill

Clerk of Parliament Kennedy Chokuda has suspended public hearings for the controversial constitutional amendment bill number two in line with a government decision to ban all public gatherings for 60 days.

The public hearings were due to start on the 29th of March to 4 April.

Parliament has also adjourned to the 5th of May while schools and tertiary institutions are set to shut down on Tuesday the 24th of March.

Zimbabwe has since recorded its first coronavirus case in Victoria Falls, according to health minister Obadiah Moyo.
