By Jane Mlambo| Zimbabwe has recorded one more COVID-19 confirmed case to take the total number of infected persons to 11 with the last confirmed person reported to have succumbed to the ailment.
According to Ministry of Health and Child Care, the 11th case is a 79 year-old Male from Bulawayo who passed away of Saturday 4 April 2020.
“The eleventh case was a 79 year old Male resident of Bulawayo who initially presented to a General Practitioner on the 23rd of March 202o with a history of cough sore throat and fever. When he did not improve on oral antibiotic treatment, he presented to a local hospital on Thursday 2 April 2020, where he was admitted,” noted the ministry of health.
The government said the deceased indicated that he has at some point visited a resort town in Hwange sometime in March.
