Farai Dziva|MDC Alliance Masvingo Province has described the late business tycoon, Tanda Tavaruva of Mhunga Buses as a true legend.

Tavaruva was the sponsor of Masvingo United Football Club.
At one point he owned a fleet of more than 100 buses.

Mucheke Stadium was a cash cow for Masvingo City, ZIFA and Vendors during the Mhunga – sponsored Masvingo United’s hey days.

Great soccer stars were groomed by Masvingo United and all credit goes to Mudhara Mhunga.

Ovidy Karuru,Costa Nhamoinesu,Wonder Sithole,Lloyd Hlahla,Maxwell Zero Chambara,Godfrey Dondo,Norman Togara and many more all played for Masvingo United.
