By Own Correspondent| MDC Alliance legislator for Makoni Central David Tekeshe who also attended today’s parliamentary committee on agriculture session says he is not worried about recalled as he is a professional business person.
Asked if Nelson Chamisa was still his President, Tekeshe said it was a tough question before saying “I think so,” suggesting he could be part of the Thokozani Khupe camp accused of going to bed with the ruling Zanu PF.
Further asked if his open defiance of a party directive was indicative of his decision to jump ship, Tekeshe said he was just exercising his freedom of choice.
“I haven’t jumped the ship but in a democratic society you make your choices to come to the committees,” he said.
Tekeshe together with two other legislators Honourable Joyce Makonya and Hon Virginia Mafuta attended today’s parliamentary sessions in defiance of a party resolution against doing so.
