14 Malawians Quarantined In Masvingo Enter Third Day On Hunger Strike Demanding To Be Set Free

Own Correspondent|Reports from Masvingo indicate that 14 Malawians held in quarantine at Masvingo Teachers’ College have gone on hunger strike demanding to be set free by the Zimbabwean government to go to their homes in Malawi.
The Malawians are reportedly in their third day on hunger strike.
The Malawians have been at the centre for 9 days after being picked up at the Beitbridge Border Post while enroute to Malawi.
The group argues that Zimbabwe has no authority to detain them in quarantine as they were in transit to Malawi from South Africa. They say processes to clear them are taking too long.
