Man Nabbed For Duping Client

A BULAWAYO man from Emakhandeni has been remanded in custody for allegedly stealing a client’s money at Anto driving school.

The accused person Enos Mashingaidze (64) allegedly converted Kudakwashe Hasera (35), the self employed complainant’s money, which had been paid for a VID test into his own use. This happened sometime during the month of September.

Mashingaidze appeared before Bulawayo Magistrate Jekoniah Ncube at Tredgold Court on 29 October where he admitted to the laid allegations and he was remanded in custody till 21 November.

Prosecutor Tanyaradzwa Kamanga said, “The accused converted complainants  money to his own use. The value involved is RTGS $350 and US$ 25.”

Hasera said, “Sometime in the month of September 2019, I approached Mashingaidze who is an instructor at Anto Driving School and became his student.”

Furthermore, during the same month Hasera enquired as to how much it was to hire a car for test to VID and the accused said it was RTGS$ 350-00 which he paid with an additional US$25. Due to some problems he stopped.

 During the month of October, that is mid-month, Hasera approached the accused so that they can go to VID and he started changing stories up to date.

There was no other witness except the complainant who only knows the accused in connection with this case.
